Notes & Combos

Hello, we meet again, somehow. Yes, yes, i finished faster this time, maybe this can be called sabbatical return. I find myself randomly wanting to play this game despite it being bad. Boredom is really dangerous.

Anyway enough of that, let's begin with the climb. It was kinda smooth. Demoted a few times in diamond, and nearly in master. Some due to luck, some due to me being stupid. Saying that, when i was in m2, i didn't lose as much as i should be despite going second. The main cause was drawing the right dominus card and my opponent fumbling when i negate the first or second thing they did instead of comboing endlessly despite that, which is quite nice and welcomed.

As for the deck, the biggest difference is me dropping spoly and the floodgates. I know my last list didn't have spoly either but it was the main version that i play until m2 last season. Saying that, spoly did help during my diamond climb, i even ranked up to master because of it. However, i sometimes notice that i lose because of overconfidence of having spoly even when it's not that great during those match up. So i try not use it this time again. For the floodgates, i didn't see too many vsk9 and they can be double edge sword so it was dropped. Now for the ratio, maybe i need to up either MAN or beryl but without dropping anubis. Some drop it due to k9, but the fact that i often use impulse from hand, having a 3k beater and a shuffler is just really nice. Now for the odd ratio, one spiral. I tried having 3 of it while forgoing strike and warning, and i find it bad. So i ended up adding the solemns back in with spiral being a one of. And it works, kinda, since it didn't feel that different and i draw/search it only when i need it. However, i like having my card at 2, so i'll try to remove something while maintaining the 2 of each solemns. Going into 41 might be the way but i like the consistency of deck for now, so we'll see. For the extra deck, i think it can be better. Maybe i can remove some that i never/rarely summon and put more the ones that i do. For example, removing some of the xyz and putting more link 1, rabbit, and maybe some other synchro 10/12.

And i think that's about it really. Like always, i feel luck is really the biggest factor during every one of my climb. For example, i think i haven't been rebooted during the climb at all, that's just dumb luck. But anyway, thanks for reading another rambling of mine, really, thank you.
