Notes & Combos

Soo.. this season felt all over the place for how things went. Had a really quick streak to M2, demoted to M4 (7 game loss streak), made it back to M2 without too much effort, and then floated between M2 and M3 a handful of times. I usually opened too many handtraps/dupes, went second without handtraps, or my opponents were all gas. Even though, I had multiple win-streaks throughout 4-5+. In my last string of games, I had a 8 game streak before losing to Floo on my M1 rank-up (opened Shifter, Maxx C, Imperm, Imperm, Myrm.. and Floo opened Map...), but luckily won the next 2 games afterwards.

M5 -> M2 -> M4 -> M2 -> M3 -> M2 -> M3 -> M1

For the most part, I had the same list as last season, however, besides swapping out Fenrir + Nib for Veiler + Belle for a very short while, I ended up removing both Compulsory, Belle, and a Holeutea for 2 Brigandine and a Called By (never came up after I added it) with a recommendation for more extenders from zeroender.

Brigandine is nice for certain and great when under Shifter, so I'm not against playing it at all. It also is another extender so you don't end on less of a board all the time if you get handtrapped to stop a Traptrix search.

Shifter is Shifter. I hate playing it, even if you have it, it doesn't always help (going against decks that don't care or your opponent can wait a turn if you don't open strong enough), but a potential turn ender is still a turn ender. If you want to remove it, adding 2 Veiler might help.

I ended up taking out Nib since I kept opening it against Lab (which I saw sometimes here and there or not at all...) and it doesn't always help against Snake-Eye if they get to the field. (Flamberge is super obnoxious and Shrine is just Map.. but probably better since it's ANY summon that triggers it, so good luck playing around it)

Fenrir wasn't bad, but it doesn't always do much if your opponent just opens Unicorn (which is everywhere...) or has Nib when you try to build a field turn 1. Still a pain to deal with against certain decks (including Traptrix lol) and can kind of solo them.

Overroot is still nice. Stopping field spells that search/set on activation and setting a Maxx C is good. It also can hurt generic link climbing, trigger whenever (for the most part), and clear away backrow if needed (or just remove pend scales since they don't go to the gy, so your opponent doesn't get the card from the gy - same thing if Shifter is live and your opponent already had something in the gy)
