Notes & Combos

For people new to Lab, I'd recommend reading the guide Paul and I wrote which is pinned in #labrynth in the Master Duel Meta Discord. You can also ask helpers like me for help there.

Basically the Resonator engine is an engine that actually boosts Lab consistency because it actually gets you Engine unlike other engines like Nadir/Diabellstar.

Soul Resonator is the simplest card of the engine, serving as the Normal Summon of the engine. This can search any Level 4 or lower fiend which allows us to get to our Labrynth cards.

Vision Resonator is a handy card that went sent to the GY (hint: this means that discarding it is fine), either searches you the next card (Fiendish Golem) or Crimson Gaia. Furthermore, it is a free Level 2 Tuner that we can use with our 8s to make various Synchro 10s which I have here.

Fiendish Golem is a Normal Trap card that seems weak in comparison to some Traps, but the biggest advantage with this engine is that we can loop it endlessly with the next card. It also is a banish for 2 turns which is pretty underrated and triggers Labrynth cards. This can also help dodge interaction for your high level monsters like Lovely/Lady, which did come up.

Lastly is what I think is the best card in the engine. Crimson Gaia literally just searches you any of the previous 3 cards every turn from GY or Deck. This is recursion and a starter at the same time. If we already have a Normal Summon, it can search Vision/Golem instead! If we're in a handtrap war, it staying on field means you still get to search for Soul next turn or the other Resonator pieces, which is great.

Rollback is a noteworthy addition. I only run 2 because while it is a very powerful card, seeing it without Engine means it's just dead and I don't think I have enough discard tools to make use of 3.

For non-engine choices, I think I focused on beating the Snake Eye matchup while still covering a lot of the notable matchups. This means target negates as well as Nibiru (which paired with Chandrag/Stovie, allows you to not even trigger Temple).

For Extra Deck, it's the same Extra Deck I've been using, but with some Synchro 10s that could theoretically come up. Almiraj is there to link off Soul/Vision so you can get it with Gaia, but I didn't get to use it once. I also only used Baronne once.

42 is because that's how the math worked out (seeing 2+ Non-Engine and 2+ Engine).

Again, if you want help or more details, ask in the Labrynth channel on Discord!

Feel free to point out any misplays in the comments, I'm sure there's some, especially in one of the Labrynth mirror replays. If you're looking at this list from the future, the replays here might already be deleted or may be of a season after it. In which case, sorry.
