Notes & Combos
Hello there,
this is my latest Maliss Deck. Nothing special overall, the ratios are pretty standard. I play some specific Extra Deck Cards because I kept running into weird stuff on ladder and wanted to be prepared. I also decided not to play the "Firewall Dragon Darkfluid - Neo Tempest Terahertz"-Package because it felt like a win-more strategy, the Deck is very competent already.
- Knightmare Cerberus: The one and only reason to play this is Chaos Hunter, otherwise it is not needed.
- Knightmare Pheonix: I faced a high amount of Stun Decks on ladder and this is an easy and sometimes only way to destroy floodgates, mostly TCBOO and Imperial Iron Wall.
- Mulcharmy Fuwalos: I only play 1 Copy, because drawing it is just bad going first and barely useful going second. It is basically a Crossout-Target.
- Allure of Darkness: At first I had 2 Copies in the Deck, but I lost the Die Roll so many times that I switched it for Nibiru, the Primal Being.
So overall I really like Deck but it is surprisingly bricky. It tackles some issues I have with Cyberse Decks in general: Burn through most of your Extra Deck turn 1 to make an unbreakable board. You combo forever but if your opponent breaks through you most likely lose. Maliss is not like that, at least not entirely, and not without the "Firewall Dragon Darkfluid - Neo Tempest Terahertz"-Package. Maliss Combos are still quite long, but not as long as some other Decks in the format, even non-Cyberse. A ridiculous side effect of the maliss meta is the new minigame we all have to play now, the "Artifact Lancea" Minigame.
I overall had fun, although climbing felt a little more like a chore this time, mostly because of all the blow-out cards in the format.
Take care!
