Notes & Combos
Snake-Eye gets negated, Altergeist secures victory, and Azamina connects the two while providing alternatives. It works well, mostly.
Since I decided to take a combo approach (which involved learning lines while dueling), I lessened experimentation as I got closer to M1; the risk of deranking disuaded me. It felt consistent, yet demanding, so growing in familiarity was my focus.
As that's no longer the case, I'll be returning to previous considerations. It still feels like something's missing. Perhaps...could it be—the rest of the Altergeist cards?
Not overly complicated, but here are some things to mind:
•Generally, SnAsh for Peri (unless this isn't OSS for Ash); Normal or Armillyre Peri; Flamberge and place what Peri sends— either Melu or Pook; Cross-Sheep and Flamberge revive; Linkuriboh-->Chorozo; revive Azamina Elzette; Dragvirion; Hexstia and return Pook; Primebanshee Malwisp revive Dragvirion; Primebanshee tribute Dragvirion for Marion; revive Dragvirion, then Marion for Hexstia next to Dragvirion; Adminia.
You can skip Peri if you already have Pook or Melu. SnAsh or Bonfire perform most of the above, albeit a weaker version; Puzzlomino instead of Cross-Sheep is a solution, however I don't find it relevant enough. Ideally you draw Diabell, Deception, or an Elzette.
•Zone placement is important for Cross-Sheep, Hexstia, Armillyre, and Primebanshee.
•Saint Azamina will win you games. OTK or stall. Silhouhatte is backup, removal, an Illusion, and provides a card to send for Elzette.
• Prioritize summoning Ilia, unless you need the resources to combo. I choose the rightmost column to not interfere with Primebanshee, though I am unsure if it is the best
•Sequencing optimally is required to maximize card efficiency, which matters a lot since you have 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5 card combos.
•Missing opportunities may cost you. Battle Phase Flamberge or Mu Rcielago. The specific line to access Hexstia+Primebanshee instead of Silhouhatte pass. And maintaining your position for a longer game. Also, while using the Battle Phase as a resource can be useful, never forget it's your win condition...I say that mostly for myself.
• Patience.
