Notes & Combos
Hello again. It's good to be back with traptrix and we've received a major glow up. There have been so many variants of traptrix recently, but I wanted to test what the TCG claimed is the strongest form. This deck is so much better than before.
Improvements:
- consistency: We can easily get to rank 4s from one card.
- Recurion: Holeutea is a crazy card, and it can keep us in the game even after our field gets deleted.
- Devestating new ED monsters: Pingu alone can dominate a Tear or Branded player who is unprepared.
Downsides:
- We're now very susceptible to maxx c, so we have to play the maxx c tax.
- Superpoly eats us up, though there are ways around it.
- Evenly...You'll see a lot of lists that are running judgment, appointer, and regulus for an evenly negate. I felt those were just bricking me too much. Evenly is still an issue and I'll have to test more on how to stop it. Maybe lancea.
ED changes:
- I tried IP and avramax, and even honor ark. But the only non-engine ED that put in work were goddess, zeus, and exciton.
Exciton: Generally, zeus is better. But zeus requires a battle phase, and by the time you get there lab might bounce your ED monster (unless it was bagooska). But exciton can immediately delete lab's field. And you can still build a board after thanks to holeutea.
Honestly, there is so much more to explore. Definitely feel free to ask any questions in the comments, or to ping me on the discord.
