Notes & Combos

Last 20 games was 16-4, with a highest streak of 7. Last month, I was afraid of the SHS matchup, specifically the FTK variants, so I mutilated the deck from how I normally play it. Now, I haven't seen too many FTK variants, so I went back to how I usually keep the deck: no Maxx C, no handtraps, the minimal amount of furniture (1 Stovie for Chaos Angel), and lots and lots of traps.

New/Returning Tech:

1. Sphere Mode:

This is still putting in the work. Cannot be responded to, you just literally kill 3 of their boss monsters and then set and pass. I've stolen a lot of games off of this.

2. Malong:

Sometimes you need a bounce over a pop or a draw.

3. Omega:

A lot of decks using GY (Branded, Snake-Eyes). Send this shuffle away a key card in GY can be neat.

4. Imperial Iron Wall:

Using this as a one-off has been great, can't complain. Destroys Kash, stops a lot of Branded plays; best thing is it can be set off Lord and kept, or if you have it alongside Lord opening hand, gets you any other floodgate.

5. Trap Trick

Originally these were Karma Cannon or Weighbridge, but neither of those were putting in the work. I just decided I'd rather have more of the traps I am already playing to replace the traps I lost, so this was a no-brainer.
