Notes & Combos

Going second burn is the art of letting your opponent cook before you cook them yourself

For a guide, I recommend this one, it covers the basics, docs.google.com/document/d/16_e38M223R_3DUnzAIU0TEMaAHMDR-a_jTtulscGsog/edit#heading=h.g7pjortnkjyj

I saw this master 5 burn decklist (masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/master-v/february-2024/chain-burn/pyzlnar/3SnST#comment-65ddecd36be039b92a055239) and decided to take it to Master 1. A youtube commenter saying they eat snakes for breakfast was the main motivation.

One thing about playing this deck, bring a calculator. Mistiming your card activations can cost you the game. There are also enemy cards to look out for, I lost a game to Nemleria because they had a card that halves all damage which I didn't play around. Ring of Destruction is also a card that can lead to many misplays (you can't activate it if either player have lower LP than the target monster).

Why go second? This burn relies on opponent having cards already set up. We also need that extra card draw.

Some noteworthy stats, I went 8-2 on my snake-eyes games.

Had a 59% tails rate which would have been awful if I was playing a going first deck.

the extra deck is not used 99% of the time. those are just incase they have cards that send stuff to the grave the numeron xyzs are too bait the opponent the we are another type of deck (if they look at the extra deck with kashtira unicorn)
