Notes & Combos

This is the 1st ever branded deck I submit on this site and boy am I proud of my list. By far the most fun deck I have ever played since Chaos Ishizu first came out (rip cyberstein) and IshTear.

Fun fact, did u know u can use fusion dup on opponent's BF?

Yea am playing the puppet lock, but i dont always do it. it is kind of a vibe thing tbh. But never set up gimmmick puppet alone without smth else like mirrorjade or rindbrum.

I dropped ad libitum cuz it didnt fit with my playstyle, nor did i feel the deck needed her, revived mirror jade 3 times in one turn with sanctifire, banishment and quem. Guardian chimera barely came up but is kinda mandatory as he is basically our only in engine antibackrow.

Was on 3 branded in high spirits + 3 deployment but I sometimes bricked by drawing too many of em and late game they are a bit of useless draws so dropped to 2 each.

tips:

  1. branded in high spirits is insane, legit one of my fav cards, you can chaine it to albion the shrouded or saronir banish, or use it literally with any monster including gimmick puppet (except despians, maxx c, nib) to unbrick and find kit or extend with cartezia or quem + a fusion in gy
  2. gimmick puppet isnt mandatory, I am playing it in case I get maxx C's (all is fair right?). Otherwise my gameplan is to set up mirror jade/rindbrumm + granguignol + branded S/T + sanctifire with gimmick and it is so easy to do. Be mindful of bystials running about tho. The optimal turn 1 board would be to set up both mirrorjade and rinbrum and the rest of that field and quem+cartesia.
  3. a way to help u ease into the deck is to ask urself how can i get an albaz in gy and how many do i need?
  4. if u open fusion dup or ttthrust or called by, go for branded fusion otherwise if u can avoid ash by playing with branded in white, do that instead, dont risk being greedy and lose.
  5. dont tunnel vision on aluber search BF, there are so many other plays u can do to play around handtraps or extend even further
  6. herald of the abyss is kinda mandatory to deal with noire/ariseheart (it is trash vs d link)

Pros:

  1. The deck is insanely fun to play
  2. non linear, u can free style ur way to whatever endboard your envision
  3. Legitimately scary turn 1 board (if they aint playing evenly)
  4. U can literally set up an insane board without ever using branded fusion
  5. Unirionically doesnt brick as often as people think it does, u have so many ways to branded in white or branded fusion
  6. ftk with gimmick puppet lock (surely they dont play floo or stun right?)
  7. Extra deck toolbox

Cons:

  1. Extremely small space for non engine so going 2nd isnt simple as you need to brute force your way through the board with how much gaz u have opened. Usually other decks would be relying on handtraps for going 2nd, in our case we rely on how gaz much we have.
  2. No extra-deck variety, we aint got links nor xyz etc. So cards like d-barrier can stop us, also makes TTT luckluster as u cant link away the monster u stole (u can fuse with it, although that is rarily viable)
  3. While most hands can play around ash, some dont and iriz waririz. Ash can really fk us up if we are heavily relient on resolving BF
  4. D shifter is a card and so is ariseheart, we dont like getting locked out of our gy (u can still play tho and even win)
  5. backrow, we really cant deal with floodgates like rivalry. Runick stun is a depressing game, so u do need harpie or branded beast
  6. Towers are trouble to deal with, we really have nothing to do, in engine, to deal with expurrely noire (starving venom can help)
  7. time limit

Replays

I got cursed, I always lose the coin flip with this deck so these replays are all going 2nd, which in hindsight are more interesting than going 1st and not get interrupted ig. If u want a going 1st replay lemme know in the comments

ID: 223-637-586

the latest 4 replays

1/ going 2nd under ariseheart AND D shifter

2/ Zinnia: going 2nd vs mathmech (best replay)

3/ going 2nd vs d link

4/ Summersky: going 2nd vs pendulum magicians (their board was weak but i still picked this one to showcase how versatile quem is)
