Win Rate Master V - Master I (Wins - Losses) Going 1st: 49-25 Going 2nd: 20-22

Best Matchups: Tearlament, P.U.N.K., Pendulum Neutral Matchups: Kashtira, Swordsoul, Branded Despia Worst Matchups: Dragon Link, Spright, Labrynth ^ These are based on decks I played a lot of during my Master climb.

Myutant is a deck I personally love. The deck has access too every card effect and mechanic you could need to win any duel. A major problem the deck has is its resource loops are very tedious to learn and are rather non-linear. Example:

  • Psychic Myutant banishes a Monster to eTele Beast.
  • Beast has an effect to negate a Spell.
  • When Beast is destroyed it returns a banished trap to hand.

Every Myutant boss is essentially like this where its summon/interaction/float involves all 3 types of cards. When watching others play the deck setting these types of situations up optimally is almost never done.

Other problem: It's effects are COSTLY. Every interuption requires a banish as cost, meaning often you shotgun effects during early MP or SP just to resolve an effect so you can later banish the card as cost for another effect later. If you mess this up at all your basically just going -2 on every interaction and not winning.

The deck wins a majority of games going 1st. Drawing the Pots is great as it baits Ash, if your opponent resolves Ash vs a Myutant eTele effect you're now -2 and will probably lose the game~

Going 2nd the deck is pretty mid, but I swear Maxx C and D.Shifter are glued to this deck's opening hands. And both are imo the biggest instant win hand traps in the game.

Few Notes:

  • I would recommend this deck to someone. Its unique and super fun. It is much better than you'd expect and its relatively in-expensive.
  • Once Kash is released at full power this deck will be unplayable at top ladder. Not the case right now with Tear still being the best deck. So METAs where this is good are selective.
