Notes & Combos

First Master 1 ever achieved and what a rollercoaster it's been with my favorite deck, Super Quants! Up until Master 3 I was running a heavier k9 package, however it struggled immensely versus Kewl Tune. The small fiensmith package grants extra gas to push for lethal, or protect our magnus turbo via caesar. It made the deck 10x more resilient.

The small k9 package is just to offer an easy way to cheat out ripper. K9 actually has alot of synergy with quants as it can provide free bodies for magnus via magnaliger xyz summoning with izuna+lupus. Additionally it provides protection from handtraps to further push magnus turbo. Quants have the benefit of also bridging into k9 with red layer+alphan/zetan when possible.

Lighter non-engine worked much better once I realized handtraps lowkey feel useless right now. Yea fuwa/purulia is strong, but realistically given our possibility for turn 0 plays, it felt awful to draw into them after summoning our bodies. I much rather preferred the board breaking capabilities of Droplet, and it's ability to dodge targeted negates makes it essential versus radiant typhoon and kewl tune. You can always add more handtraps to the deck, I just prefer the consistency.

One final note, depending on your starting hand, this deck can 100% play through droll. Ideally you need at least zetan or layer-19, preferrably both. 6-7 material magnus is still very possible under droll, so much so that if you get maxx C'd/fuwa'd, you might as well droll yourself and deny your opponent the extra draws. Still, emergency teleport should always be cast during the draw phase to dodge droll, given its recent uprising in use.
