Notes & Combos
This season was a tough climb with Lunalight, especially since I started ranked play right after Killer Tune dropped. That said, Lunalight remains a highly viable deck. With VS/K9 being less oppressive than last season, heavy Poly builds were actually really fun to play (and thankfully, burn-free). The real struggle? Constantly losing the coin toss, bricking with hand traps, and those rare wins where I'd still get rolled by something like POK3r of Droplets. Diamond → Master V went smoothly, but Master V → Master I was brutal. The constant deranking and promo match losses were pretty demotivating. I eventually climbed from Master II to I with a mix of luck and some help from a friend who let me test against Ktune. Their main suggestion: cut a few hand traps to make room for more GAS. If I stick with Lunalight next season, I'll definitely lean into a smoother, more consistent build with more GAS and less reliance on dead draws. (Note: Exciting and Chimera saw zero play this season. Feel free to swap them out for whatever flex cards suit your playstyle!)
