Notes & Combos

Went 11-2 on the climb to 5500 points for all the gems. Deck COOKED against all the decks I've faced (Dark Magician, Timelord, Cydra, Marincess, Insect OTK, Harpies, Altergeist, Ninja and Heroes). The two losses were due to bricking really badly, which as you could see, were rare cases.

Santa Claws takes care of any unaffected beatsticks you might come across, which happened a few times for me vs Cydra, DM and Marincess. Props to Nouvelles Restaurant and Poeltis for usually netting me +2 draws and a ritual mulligan.

Dyna Mondo came in clutch a couple of times to shuffle back backrow and summon back Confiras to take care of any set 5 pass strategies, as well as Special Recipe not only providing amazing cover from those decks, but also from any going 2nd decks that want to spam Raigeki, Dark Hole, Duster, etc.

The rest of the ED other than Patissciel and Dyna Mondo don't really matter, I never went into anything else because our monsters are just much better than anything we can make.

Preparation of rites can get you any ritual but more importantly recycle your recipes in GY, so it can act as a pseudo Pre-Prep in certain scenarios. As for Where Arf Thou, it can search Veiler, Buerillabaisse or Poissonniere, depending on the circumstances, which has also been really nice for me.

Forbidden Chalice was also freaking amazing, as not only did it serve as additional interaction against the opponent, but it also turns out your rituals by targetting them, which has been really nice as an extender and won me a few games.

Other than that, not much else to talk about. Not many handtraps available to run and one for one is pretty self-explanatory. Definitely recommend this deck for this event, really fun to play. If you do decide to play it, have fun cooking your opponent to death!
