Notes & Combos

From starting the fes to getting 5 wins, these were my games:

• 1 win - 1 loss - 3 wins - 1 loss - 2 wins - 2 losses - 4 wins - 1 loss - 5 wins

So 15-5 overall is not bad.

Unsurprisingly, I basically ran into Branded and everything else I saw was maybe a 1 of deck. Luckily, it felt like Branded wasn't too bad of a matchup as long as you got rid of Branded Beast/Regained and can build up right away after a Mirrorjade wipe or get out Dolkka to negate Mirrorjade's destruction / Druiswurm's send. Ended up winning a handful of Branded games while going second.

For the MD, nothing felt super bad. The only real issues are drawing dead Strikes/dead fusion traps after the first few turns and being forced to Trap Trick early on if you have a hanful of backrow cards. Wouldn't have minded having another Prison just to have another body since it was easy enough to run out of monsters and if you don't loop the monsters from the gy for one reason or another, it can be a bit rough. (I also miss Prison in Traptrix)

Regarding the ED, I would like a 3rd Rexterm, as that came up a few times, but it wasn't always necessary. Finally crafted Dolkka and Laggia, but only got the chance to go into Dolkka once (and it let me win the game). Not super necessary if you are just using this deck for events like I am. Really though, I was only able to get 2 XYZ summons off with the deck, so you can definitely change things up. If you want to be "spicy", you could just toss in Super Poly and add some fusions for that. Just keep in mind that Alert locks you to Dinomorphia monsters only.

Even if the deck is basically do or die with a floodgate monster, it still has been fun enough to play with it. Just be careful about running out of resources (monsters) since it's really easy to run through them and semi be on fumes.
