Melodious is a very good deck for Fusion/Link due to a variety of factors- chief among which being that it didn't take any hits from the event banlist, and with all eyes on Maliss, no one is really ready for it- as Melodious barely touches banishing outside of Schuberta so Lancea is just a dead card against this deck.
Going first you can set up the Aria/Elegy lock to make taking out the Melodious monsters a royal pain, alongside Etoile's bounce giving you outs to a lot of cumbersome board-breakers like Nibiru. Going second, you can make a huge push with various Melodious cards or at least break a board with the bounce effect then sit pretty until you're ready to overwhelm the opponent. Schuberta's banish resetting on each time it's re-summoned by Etoile is also just cruelty in the right circumstances as it's a triple DD Crow every turn you banish it with Etoile. With a variety of powerful one-card starters like Ostinato and Refrain, Melodious is still a very powerful deck and one that will enable an easy victory with the right pilot.
