Notes & Combos
At the beginning of this season, I wanted to increase my chances of opening strong hands by reducing the deck to 40 cards, with no Spells or Traps except for three copies of Sekka’s Light. However, things went in the exact opposite direction. I started drawing Coelacanth, Greethys, Raiho, Torrent and Moulinglacia in nearly every hand, resulting in far too many bricky hands and costing me quite a few duels.
After experimenting with several builds over the course of a few days, I eventually settled on this 55-card version, which surprisingly worked exceptionally well. It allowed me to climb consistently and reach DLV MAX with relative ease. I actually achieved this three days ago but completely forgot to publish the deck!
As always, Lancea and Raiho are the key cards for depleting your opponent’s resources and putting them under constant pressure. Meanwhile, the Mermail Atlantean engine provides an impressive level of consistency, allowing the deck to play through Droll, Mulcharmies, and other hand traps while breaking even the most powerful boards.
I faced Branded and Elfnote more than any other decks, and this build performed particularly well against them.
Icejade Ran Aegirine is also extremely useful when facing opponents who rely on banishing effects, providing valuable utility in those matchups.
There are plenty of other useful cards you can include, such as Diva, Aria, Marksman, Gameciel, Dragite, Boxfish, and more. Ultimately, it all comes down to your personal preferences and playstyle, so feel free to experiment and find the build that suits you best!
If you have any questions about the deck, its combos, or specific card choices, feel free to ask!
