Notes & Combos

Back to the competitive site after a long break, and I really like playing this deck. Raw engine build and break board, which is fun but not so good going second in the Elfnote meta now. I have seen many Megalith deck run 60 cards to fit the non-engine. But after trying more handtraps the deck is bricky more often (both engine brick so hard with handtrap). So I end up play raw engine + impactful handtraps only, and the result is pretty good. There some hint how I play:

  • You would want to start with Mitsu first, then bridge into Megalith with the Ashlan and Granite. King of the feral imps is for the other way but most of the time you wouldn't need it so you can consider running Exciton or Zeus for going second. The deck is unstoppable when you tribute a big Mitsu for a lv4 Megalith, so Unformed is the best card in the deck (beside Habakiri ofc).
  • You can try to play around both fuwa and purulia (not both at the same time) and accomplish pretty strong board. The biggest enemy is droll, so hope you draw crossout or have good non-engine. Otherwise just cry.
  • Fydraulis worked fenomenal in this deck since we can send herald for the ritual plays. Then at the start of the next turn you can go PEP with a lv4. Turn 0 plays can be achieved by using Aratron to summon Phul and then either pop 2 or omni negate once, and on top of that, tribute a Mitsu to search Habakiri. There is argument for running Mulcharmy but drawing it with Anastasis feel pretty bad, and it's so brick. You can try minmax yourself for more non-engine but this work the best for me.

This deck is so fun to play and pretty strong too. I will enjoy it until the new broken stuff come out and destroy the game.
