Notes & Combos

Built with Chapo, IMO: this is potentially the most optimized deck to counter the upcoming format.

• Allure ratios: 11 allurable darks (not counting ur starters or engine requirements). Any lower than this and you are trolling math-wise.

• Non-engine: 3 maxx, 3 Thrust, Imperm, Herald, 3 Kaiju = 11 non-engine which is appropriate for the format. Daruma cannon is a good thrust target, but balancing live non engine is more of a necessity

• No Spoly/No Banishment: Spoly is theoretically not so great this format; vs. purrely it can potentially not be so good going 2nd. Meanwhile at least kaiju helps u challenge opps playing around thrust outs, while having no material restrictions like super poly does. If Lab, Dragon Link, spright, etc. become too popular and Purrely falls off (stage 2 time constraints) spoly and even bystials may be better. In Red is also just as good, if not better than banishment, as you can play off ad lib sends from GGG and chimera removals are good in this format (both front and backrow). Banishment is for sure a side deck card imo. Playing it as ur main option in a BO1 setting is restrictive and riskier. Bansihment is also not a true thrust target (as getting handtrapped can mean you might not even get a despia name in the GY to begin with so it wont be live)

• High spirits: 1 would be cool, but its both bad into Arise format and is unfortunately cuttable due to deck space constraints :( its nice for the anti-ash line but concessions need to be made

• Patchwork: Chimera turbo going second is not a true answer for the major players in the format, and patchwork's strength is more apparent in engine-able formats (which we arent in). Patchwork cant afford the space for good breakers like Normal branded can (C + Thrust only + higher deck space so the math for drawing non-engine breakers is even lower), and half of patchwork is unusable into Arise. its weird because like spoly, its good into everything that isnt the top strategies but those lower tiered strats are still very common. Pick your poison

• The extra deck is about as set as it can be. 2 Lubellion because i cant play with 1 (getting it ripped can just kill ur ability to grind). 1 granguignol can feel bad if it also gets ripped by kash, but its not the worst. Verte needed incase brick outside of patchwork variants (which have more permutations of starting combos). everything else is pretty much set in stone.
