Notes & Combos
Winrate: 73,53% at 25-9 (going 1st 82,35% at 14-3; going 2nd 64,70% at 11-6)
So for this DC I decided to hop on an old favorite of mine. I still believe this deck is severely underrated, and it definetly felt good to play.
Even against the new Meta Decks, Orcust can hold its own. And against Rogue or Tier 3 decks this list really shines.
This list is very similar to the one I used last DC, so you can refer to that Article for a bunch of explanations. But the only changes are:
- 4 non-Engine out and 3 K9 Izuna and 1 K9 Lupis in
- 1 Hornet Drones out and 1 Fenrir in
The new K9 cards work really well in this deck, as we have the Main and Extra Deck space for them. Izuna can also sometimes bait people into using Handtraps, which can unbrick some hands. You can find one of those examples in my Replays!
This climb was really something. I saved a bunch of cool replays showing what this deck is really capable of. Including some good Bord-Breaks, I really recommend watching them if youre thinking of playing this deck :)
The basic combos can also be seen there.
All in all this deck is still incredible. Our strategy going 2nd still revolves heavily around Handtraps, of which we play 18 powerful ones. Our uninterrupted board going 1st is also so good, it can beat almost any deck out there. Consistency is also really good. We play 12 1-card starters an 2 extra "1-card starters" in Fenrir and World Crown, which both just require a normal summonable handtrap alongside them. This comes again to around 90% consistency
So I can safely say, I recommend this deck for the current meta.

You can just go into my recent Replays and watch all the Duelist Cup replays, they're all good. I've marked some of them off however. "Combo" just means I perform an uninterrupted Combo, the first highlighted Card shows which combo it is.
"Special Win Condition" just means the game was heavily influenced by one Handtrap, also highlighted in the Preview cards.
