Notes & Combos
Man, I missed playing this deck. Played pure Fire King for quite a while, but I decided to test this deck in the Duelist Cup after Oak was unbanned. The climb was pretty chill; I had around a 75% WR. The Diabellstar package really helps with consistency, and you usually don't get stopped with one Ash now.
Not sure how to feel about the Snake-Eye package, cuz I drew bricks far more often than SE Ash, which felt horrible. There were a couple of games that I won thanks to the Snake-Eye engine tho, as they provide good recovery through Oak and Flamberge, but they don't really help that much on the first turn since you don't need so many Link materials anymore with Apollo banned.
When starting with Snake-Eye or Diabellstar, you obviously bridge to Fire Kings through OSS. Starting with Fire Kings, I usually make The Zombie Vampire and try to mill Diabellstar to get access to Silvia, or mill Ash to be added back with Wolf.
The endboard I try to reach is usually: Silvia, Amblo, and Arvata on the field. Promethean, I:P, and Garunix in the grave, and ideally Ash Blossom in hand. If you accessed Snake-Eyes, you could also leave Flamberge on the field with W:P in the S/T zone to get a monster negate, but it didn't come up that often and was, most of the time, unnecessary.
It might be better to just keep the Diabellstar engine without Snake-Eyes as they come with 2 bricks, but they definitely come up sometimes and increase the deck's ceiling. If you decide to remove Snake-Eyes, I would recommend adding more Sanctuaries and field spells.
