Notes & Combos

That's right. Isolde Turn Skip Warrior Combo is back and still kicking, despite the threats of Dracotail and Sky Striker.

The deck is about the same as 6 months ago, except I opted to make the deck 42 to avoid bricking so often. Also, Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin is just boss at eating up hand traps like nobody's business. (Ash/Droll are my main targets)

Turn 1:

  • 1A) Isolde to summon Renaud to recover Cursed Bamboo Sword while Cursed Bamboo Sword gets Burning Bamboo Sword. Chain block to your liking in order to either dodge Ash Blossom or Ghost Belle.

  • 1B) Use additional summons in hand and/or draw power with either Decode Talker Heatsoul, or Saryuja Skull Dread accordingly if you didn't draw Thunder of Ruler, Parthian Shot, or Terminal World.

    1. Burning Bamboo Sword + Cursed Bamboo Sword activation = no Main Phase 1 for your opponent. Thunder of Ruler and/or Parthian Shot skips your opponent's turn entirely.
    1. Set your Thunder of Ruler(s) if you're paranoid of Primite Drillbeam, or Parthian Shot, pass, and if there's no resistance, move onto Step 4.
    1. Isolde to summon Sublimation Knight or Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin by sending 3 equips to the Graveyard (Broken Bamboo Sword, Cursed Bamboo Sword, Phoenix Gearblade, and Durendal if not already drawn, otherwise mill Phoenix Gearblade to summon another Renaud or Fire Flint Lady.
    1. Summon enough monsters, equip 1 with Phoenix Gearblade and go into battle. Removing Phoenix Gearblade allows your monsters to attack twice.
  • Retalitaing C used to be a concern for this deck until I removed all cards that'd make it useful. (Instant Contact, Ready Fusion, and Shield of the Millennium Dynasty are gone for good.)

  • Junk Forward works well in this deck because I don't always draw Fire Flint Lady, Brigandine trap card to further extend my plays. Plus, if I open Connector or Dolphin and they get stopped, I still have 2 monsters to make Isolde, or 3 if I need to make her a second time in the same/future turn.
