Notes & Combos

I had been waiting a long time to play Rose Dragon again; I don't like Kewl Tune or Junk variants, it feels worse to play the Azamina variant, so it was either pure or Adventurer. Began from the basics with pure Rose Dragon playing Pot of Desires and decided to try out White Rose Cloister (+Rose Princess) with a few extra Tuners for the banned staples.

I could use Droll & Lock Bird since the deck plays well enough after the first search, especially when you already have the requisite piece to Synchro -- elected to not play it as I wanted to play Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill anyways. Cloister package is simply extra, only a cute tech when hand is stuffed with tuners and the non-tuners that can special summon themselves. Also, will not even be for consideration by the time Princess Dracaena, the Thirsting Tree arrives.

Spore or Spore the Fairy Seed can be run in here as spare Tuners, but I didn't like Fairy Seed since it feels like it demands to play around it to keep using its non-once per turn Level modulation -- I wanted to be more low to ground focusing on Level 7 & 10. Spore just missed the cut as I wanted to try out Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson more since I was running Foolish Burial to timely send Plants or Rose Dragon if I need to and can summon itself from the hand if need be.

Still on the fence with Staysailor Romarin as it gives an ideal second Plant to foolish for White Rose Dragon after Vengeful Witch, but it has not been my priority. You can try out Cyclos the Circular Sprite as a spare Plant Tuner, but I feel like it will shine best with Dracaena.

Regarding Synchro, the extraneous ones are Vermillion Dragon Mech and Swordsoul Supreme Sovereign - Chengying; I summoned or foolished everything else besides Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon and Ruddy Rose Dragon, but I still would want to retain these 2. I did not want to explore a Crimson Dragon package, which also made the Spores' presence worse here.
