Notes & Combos

The deck above makes use of Salamangreat cards but a Heatsoul Deck that uses handtraps to control the game. It isn't amazing in the current format with some very poor matchups but I have enjoyed playing this deck.

The main aim of the deck is to summon Heatsoul under Transcode and have the Cynet Conflict set. This requires 3 link material. If you have an extra material, you can also make the Linguriboh to insulate your board from an Evenly Matched. This combined with a couple handtraps is often enough to survive a turn and allow you to link climb turn 3 into Accesscode for game. On the play you try to nagivate your opponent's interaction and again go for an OTK.

The handtrap lineup is mainly geared towards beating Tearlment and Branded. Some of your handtraps will work against Swordsoul but you don't really have many answers to Spright (Spright being the worst matchup by far – handtraps don’t really do a lot against this deck). Additionally, like all Cyberse decks, this deck needs access to the Graveyard much like the majority of high tier decks. This puts Salads in an unfortunate position, it is weaker than the meta and loses to most of the same things (Shifter, D.D. Crow, TCBOO). All this is to say the deck isn't amazingly competitive. This all said the deck consistently took wins Tearlment, Branded and Swordsoul. As for the main rouge matchups, Floo, Exo and Rikka all were not much of a problem.

Every card in the extra was used and felt necessary - Bagooska would have been the 16th card. If you do not want to respect Nibiru then you can take out the Link Spider. The second Accesscode comes up a lot, often time a singular piece of interaction is saved for Accesscode, having the second one to summon wins games. I also opted for the second Transcode instead of G Golem Crystal Heart because sometimes your first Transcode can be bsnished. I experimented with Adventure and Mathmech engines in the deck but this pure cyberse version felt better, not running too many chaos types feels good with Bystials lurking. I play Veiler over Imperm because it can be used if drawn off Heatsoul. Meer came up a lot to play through disruption.

Overall, the deck is enjoyable if not that competitive. Having handtraps gives you something to do on your opponent's turn and drawing 3 cards per turn "feels good"!
