Notes & Combos

This list was solid. For this season I decided to try out how double Raiza plays, and it is really nice to have, although I did miss the second empen quite a bit. Sort of tempted to cut apex and play 2 empen 2 raiza, but apex is pretty helpful in the mirror or vs evenly. My coin flips this season seemed to be under some sort of cosmic curse, I started keeping track of them at the start of diamond and I only won 20% of my coin flips. Of the coin flips I won, only 2 games were not against a blind second deck or mirror match. Probably some sort of karma for playing this war crime of a deck.

Despite that the climb was fairly smooth. Book of moon is amazing both as insurance against imperm, and also as a board breaker. Its worth noting it also doesn't conflict with shifter like called by does, though if your coin flip luck is slightly more blessed then mine you probably still want called by over book.

I decided to play no spell/trap destruction again even though I ran into a lot of zombie world. Somehow I still had a fantastic win rate vs zombie world decks though, turns out if you knightmare pheonix the zombie world away a lot of those decks are actually unprepared to win the game vs the birds.
