Notes & Combos

Intro:

  • This deck has many layers of play, so it's tough to stop; on the other hand, it's quite hard to play optimally as you have many different lines of play.

Gameplay:

  • Going first, usually the only thing that can make you pass is a Maxx "C", so I maxed answers for it. In case you don't open any, you can play around by chaining quick-play spells and/or Ipiria, but jet to grab smashers is also fine. Furthermore, try to chain block fountain with Hugin or Geri in order to avoid handtraps.

  • Going second, it's a lot more complicated. You wanna try to force as many interactions as possible before going for a fountain play, because fountain is the best (and possibly the only) way to recover. Also, remember that Elf protects its linked monsters from being targeted, so you have to deal with Elf first.

  • You actually have to attempt to go into the battle phase in order for it to be skipped.

Deckbuilding:

  • Goddess and Apollousa are the flex spots; you can replace them with any other decent rank or link 2.

  • Sometimes I miss a third elf; if you have it, I recommend playing it.
