Notes & Combos

This format is not kind to hand traps at all, so decided to cut the middleman and just maindeck Evenly Matched. Did pretty well against everything in the format. This list is fairly standard, but a few notes:

• Cyber Stein: Not essential by any means, since it is only usable turn 1 in any real game. However the ability to get your Rexsturm online immediately T1 or bring out Exterio is too good when the only cost is your normal summon. You can cut Last Warrior if needed, I rarely summoned it.

• Miscellaneousaurus: I've seen a lot of lists cutting this, but it has a unique use this format in helping versus Runick. Runick can't battle phase after using a spell, so chaining misc to any runick destroying spell saves your frontrow for that entire turn. Also niche interaction but if you activate card of demise you can chain misc to it to empty your hand further before the draw.

• Card of Demise: Essential. Duality at two, Prosperity at one and Fossil Dig can only search monsters. With no hand traps, there's no risk. Also using Duality, Dig and Demise all in a single turn is cute.

• Evenly Matched: Essential.

• Anti-Spell & Gozen: The most effective floodgate combo this format. Fragrance kills Runick, Despia, Rikka, Floo and backrow hate while Gozen handles all the above plus Adamancipator, Swordsoul and Ishizu piles. If you somehow get both together then you've won.

• Triple Solemn Strike: You need this T1. If it's not at 3 you will see it less. Strike is the reason Dinomorphia can still play if going second, because Strike's spell speed means you can kill Ash/Carrot/Baronne responding to you and close the chain. Something 'Called By' cannot do. You set 5, pass, go their turn, Frenzy/Domain and Strike whatever responds. If you do open multiple strikes there's nothing wrong with summoning Stealthbergia over the other fusions as needed.

• Extra Deck: You don't need 3 Kentregina/Rexsturm but it will make it harder if you're forced to use Prosperity. You need the Dharc + Unicorn line to get around Bagooska which otherwise is a pain for the deck.
