For those who are new to Spright, the Spright archetype consists of Level 2 monsters that can summon themselves from the hand if you control a Level/Link 2 on field. These guys are extremely consistent, can play through multiple disruptions, and can be paired with many other strategies such as Tri-Brigade, Live-Twins, and Runick.

What makes Runick Spright so incredibly strong is how both Runick and Spright have nearly flawless synergy to the point where they end up fixing eachother's weaknesses.

• For instance, pure Runick strategies naturally do not put up strong endboards which means that they live and die by having Fountain and floodgates. This means that if you lose them, you're essentially toast. With the Spright engine, you can not only put up consistently impressive endboards but also thin out your deck so you can draw into your Runick spells very easily.
• As for the Spright side, Spright tends to lack high ATK values and require other Level 2 monsters already on field for them to special summon from hand. Since every Runick quick-play spell can summon Hugin, who is Level 2, you have essentially free access to a Level 2 in almost every hand without using your normal summon. Also, your low ATK values don't matter much when you're playing an engine that skips your battle phase.

Not only do you have two incredibly strong synergistic archetypes, but you also have a large amount of utility options in both the main deck and the extra deck. Gigantic Spright gives you access to any Level 2 monsters, not just Spright monsters. Ipiria and Capshell get you free draws each turn, and Wind-Up Kitten can break entire boards when used in combination with Spright Elf since it is not a hard once-per-turn.

You also have easy access to powerful Xyz monsters like Djinn Buster, who is a monster negate, as well as Onibimaru who can temporarily banish a monster (like Sky Striker Ace - Zeke). You can also make great use of I:P Masquerena since it has very good synergy with Spright Elf.

Then there's Spright Smashers which is searchable non-targeting, non-destruction removal.

So basically, Runick Spright is a deck with insane consistency, deceptively strong endboards, unmatched grind game, searchable board-breakers, tons of draw power, and access to almost any tool you could ever ask for in a control strategy. Watch out for this one. It's definitely worth the hype.
