Notes & Combos
This deck utilises Dimension Shifter and the Dark Law package to go against Ishizu pile, Runick, and other GY strategies. It is always better to go first but in the case your 50/50 luck is terrible, going second is not bad either.
Going Second
- Having 3 Ferret Flames makes going second much easier, especially against Branded. Play your other Dinomorphia traps only in MP2 against Branded if you have Ferret Flames set.
- When playing against decks, eg. Spright, that have Main Phase backrow boardwipes like Zeroboros, set 2-3 S/T to bait it out before committing to the board.
Playstyle Considerations
- Dimension Shifter - If going first, pay attention to your opponent's deck size and assess whether your hand is good enough to combat them.
- Do not shotgun Domain/Frenzy. Bait them into playing their cards first before committing in case of Lava Golem.
- Against Runick, Rexterm does not matter. Try to use EEV as soon as possible if you know the opp. is playing Runick.
- Use Mask Change II if they have Imperm/Veiler. Otherwise, you can use it first turn but using it in response to mills or adds to hand brought me more success.
- Consider using Domain over Frenzy for Kentregina effect to fuse away a Therizia/Diplos on the field.
Adding from Therizia
- Ensure you have Frenzy or Domain set.
- If you do not have Solemn Strike (or both Frenzy and Domain), set one of the two you are missing (plays around Ash).
- If you do not have Solemn Judgment or Sonic, set Dinomorphia Sonic.
- Otherwise, I prefer Alert over Brute to play against Super Polymerization.
Deck Building Considerations
- The deck has an 82% chance to draw a starter (Fossil Dig, Therizia, Frenzy, Domain). Consider using 3 Fossil Dig to increase that chance to 85%.
- Dimension Shifter is not required but extremely useful in current meta, especially against Tear.
- Consider 2 Trap Trick for more flexibility. Note that only 1 trap can be activated after its resolution.
- Can remove 3 EEV but Runick will be harder to play against.
- 3 ghost girls is fine, but running 5-6 will increase chances of going into PEP to seal games.
- Winter Cherries is a spicy tech if you really hate meta and can be used as Mask Change II material.
- Abyss Dweller and Raider's Knight package is barely used.
- Evolzars are not necessary, but Laggia/Dolkka really helps secure wins.
Note that the performance of this deck specifically depends on the knowledge of the opponent's deck. Please read their cards.
