Notes & Combos

Set rotation deck, which is arguably the better deck LOL

This deck has certainly EVOLVED. the addition of aerial eater and agnumday feels almost like the last missing pieces of my previous sometimes-underwhelming turn 1 board. with aerial eater giving access to mutiny in turn 1, a full-blown combo ends on: spright elf pointing to SP+caesar, a necroquip to potentially draw 1, at least one live orange light and random non-engine in the hand (a total of 6 cards in hand), drawing 3 cards (with 1 discarded) in the process. The skipped draw phase is mitigated with necroquip (if it's really ever needed given a full combo end board). agnumday is primarily used to make the missing LIGHT fiend fusion material for mutiny to go into the fusion lacrima. combos are highly variable depending on cards in hand and those drawn in the process. my favorite part about the mutiny package is that it can also make seraphinte which could also be useful, although it's quite limited to niche situations. going for dugares to draw 2 with this list has solid payoff although it sometimes does ***** up (either lame draws or getting handtrapped).

specific to the current meta, if the opponent goes for turn0 plays (namely VS, Izuna, rarely rescue ace plane and dracotail) and does not stop the combo sufficiently, this deck can potentially gain huge advantage off the opponent's cards on the field by making Luce for its effect to pop 1 and mill 1 fairy or fiend monster (it's somewhat the PRO MAX version of aerial eater). For the same consideration this version also runs 1 triple tactics talents.

Going 2nd will usually require having the most powerful hand traps (which is my primary idea of building this deck in the very first place) with a combo piece or two to really have a chance, or hoping to catch the opponent off guard with its obscure techs.

a persisting issue is extra deck space and main deck size. keeping the main deck as thin as possible is pivotal to reliable hand quality but there seem to be no flex spots left so far. although this version is certainly the one that I feel performing at its best.
