Fiendsmith Cyber Dragons
from on February 25th, 2025Notes & Combos
Because both Cyber Dragons and Fiendsmiths rely on LIGHT monsters, this deck can be quite explosive.
Please note that this isn't the "Going Second" type of Cyber Dragons, in most cases you will be making a board on turn One. None of the OTK cards or strategies are implemented here, this is more of a Control/Midrange Variant all things considered. With that being said an OTK is still possible under the right conditions, it's just not the goal.
For going First, You can insulate your entire Cyber Dragon line by playing your Fiendsmith engine first (and Vice Versa); pitching Engraver, following the line of Tract for Lurrie, into Requium to put another Engraver on board, from there you can reborn your previously pitched Engraver to the field using it's effect to spin back Lurrie, and Xyz into Caesar, all before the possibility of Nibiru coming up.
If your opponent takes the bait on the Fiendsmith engine, Handtrapping it prematurely, you can freely move into your Cyber Dragon plays without worrying about their (already used) hand traps.
A standard Machine Duplication line for Cyber Dragons is as follows:
Normal Summon Cyber Dragon Core -> Core Effect, Search Cyber Emergency, Cyber Repair Plant, Cyber Revsystem, or Cybernetic Overflow -> Activate Machine Duplication targeting your Cyber Dragon Core -> Due to Core's unclassified effect which changes it's name to "Cyber Dragon", you are able to summon 2 Level 5 "Cyber Dragon" from the deck -> Xyz Summon into Cyber Dragon Nova (DO NOT ACTIVATE THE QUICK EFFECT) -> Link Cyber Dragon Core into Salamangreat Almiraj -> Cyber Dragon Nova Main Effect, pitching a Level 5 Cyber Dragon from it's material, then targeting that same Cyber Dragon to summon it -> Promote your Cyber Dragon Nova into your Cyber Dragon Infinity -> Link your Almiraj and original Cyber Dragon into S:P Little Knight, using it's on summon effect to banish your own Almiraj from the grave (To prevent Hiita/FIRE Shenanigans). In most cases, this two card combo ends on an Omni Negate (Infinity) and S:P, an endboard which is very low to the ground, but versatile due to the additional Non-engine and extension you have.
Interactions that matter
Nachster can Discard Lurrie to start all plays simultaneously, DO NOT use it's reborn effect when doing this, as it will lock you into Machines. Galaxy Soldier cannot be used for this, as it Sends rather than Discard
