K9-04 Noroi to Saryuja (K9-to-VS Bridge) from Zwithak · on June 7th, 2026

This is the basic combo line to get from Noroi into Saryuja for bridging into another archetype (typically VS) via heavy deck filtering + Saryuja's draw 4 (and free special summon). While very potentially very powerful, it is prone to handtraps and bricking (thematically fitting for VSK9), making it a lower priority play if you have multiple. Note it requires the opponent to have 2 cards in hand for Noroi NS.

This combo assumes only Noroi in hand and all other cards in deck, but it's largely the same regardless of any of those cards being in your starting hand as well.

Note that Lupis is included here in the combo, despite not actively playing any part. This is because you want to maximize the number of cards removed from your deck for the Saryuja draw to increase odds of drawing extensions. If you have 4 dead cards in hand + Noroi (35/40 cards in deck), after this combo you should have gone through an additional 6 cards from the deck, leaving for 29/40 in deck. If you have most of the K9 cards in hand, Saryuja will be slightly less effective because there is less deck filtering. At which point you may want to go into Ripper + C104 + Little Knight + FR endboard or similar. However, if you have a practically guaranteed extender in your hand (such as Hollie in hand, but no FIRE attribute), then that makes the risk a bit more worthwhile.

This combo is fragile since Noroi/Jokul are vulnerable to handtraps (imperm/ash/veiler on the Noroi, purge/droll on the Jokul). Once you get to Ripper, it is marginally safer, however, and you can protect your Lantern from Belle, prevent a Nibiru, and so-on.

Finally, a recommended variation is actually sending the Case to grave with Noroi to check your opponents hand and see if you even need to gamble on the Saryuja versus ending on Ripper + NASH/C104 + Little Knight/Vallon/something else. The basic combo here is maximum greed, which allows for an extension to pop case to set FR, but this variation is safer.
