Libromancer Vendread: Tele/Geek + Slayer from FishDude936 · on June 3rd, 2026

Libromancer Vendread has been one of my personal favorite variants of the deck for years, I took the deck to a few TCG regionals a couple of years ago before ashlan released, the only way to bridge to Vendread at the time was Cross-sheep draw 2 discard 2 and pray. The build also showcases one of my favorite synergies with the best Pre-Necromancer which is Diviner. Being able to make Tzolkin for Crystal Wing access was something that was key to playing Vendread for a long time, of course Necromancer being a 1 card Vendread combo made diviner slightly less appealing and then the TCG ban of Arc Light killed her as an option. However, Arc Light is still legal in Master Duel and that means we are cooking. If you wanted to try the deck in the TCG you can play Manju to make Chaos Angel with Slayer instead but I'm not a fan. Things to keep in mind: Libromancer Fire is also a suitable replacement for Geek/Tele, you just search Geek and First Appearance adds Doombroker. Battlelord is also a suitable replacement for Slayer, such a line would be more complicated but you would essentially just evolution for Battlelord instead, link off Ashlan and Battlelord into Knightmare Unicorn (or any other generic link 3 fiend), Battlelord will add slayer, dump scar, which then adds origin. Origin banish Battlelord in grave for Slayer, make Tzolkin, grab Ravenous and dump Houndhorde, set ravenous to trigger tzolkin. Link Tzolkin and Unicorn for A Bao A Qu which can discard any card to get your Houndhorde out of Grave (and if you open another Vendread name you can just use hounds own effect and skip A Bao). LAST TIP: Don't be scarred to use your normal on Necromancer as you can use A bao to revive Diviner (by discarding Diviner so no hand advantage lost). With that all said, this is a 1 way "bridge", until there is an Illusion of Chaos like card for Libromancers there isn't an efficient way to bridge the strategies both ways however the deck runs pretty efficiently on 2 cards.
