October 2026 App Update: New Features!

October 29th Update

KONAMI has released v2.9.0 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel - clocking in at ~13GB on PC and 5GB on mobile, due to needing to redownload the entire game data as part of a Unity Engine version update.

As usual there's a few new changes live immediately, but these App Updates happen to ensure the game is ready for the next 3 months of content.

Upcoming Card Release

The new App Update Icon/Key Art features Loading... from Magnificent Monsters / Limit Over Collection: The Heroes, implying that its release is imminent.

(As a reference, 2025's update featured Loading... and 2024's Loading... , both of which released with new support to their deck types in the early November Selection Pack.)

New Card Effect Animations

Feature Updates

• The Duel Log now displays cards used as material for a Link, Synchro, Xyz, or Fusion Summon below the card that was Special Summoned.
• When "Activation Order Settings" is set to "On" in Duel Settings, you will now be asked to confirm effect activation only once, instead of multiple times.
• When 1 card must be chosen at random from multiple cards displayed face-down, such as with the effect of Loading... , the card will now be selected automatically.
• Selecting a locked Secret Pack on the "How to Obtain" screen will now display a list of Key Cards that can unlock that Secret Pack, and whether the card is Generatable.
