Overview

The Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Finals are fast approaching on August 5th and 6th, so we've put together a quick rundown on the various campaigns live in-game, as well as what to expect from the Event as a whole! Be sure to leave your thoughts down below on the Event, which Team you think will take the coveted #1 spot, and much more!


Basic Event Format

Day 1:

  • Teams of 3 will be Split into 2 Groups
  • Round Robin within each Group, first to 5 Wins in total for a team/9 Duels Max.
  • Semi-Finals will take place between the Top 2 Teams of each Group

Day 2:

  • Championship Match
  • Round-robin, first to 5 Wins in total for a team/9 Duels Max.

Special Rules:

  • Each Team can only use 3 copies of a card total across all their submitted Decks.
  • Teams can designate up to 3 "Shared Cards" that each player can use at up to 3 copies across all their Decks.

How to Watch

You'll be able to keep up to date with each Teams results, and tune in to all the Duels live from Day 1 and Day 2 via the Special WCS 2023 Portal inside Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

There will also be official Konami streams on both days, with Day 1's coverage being split between Duel Links and Master Duel, and of course Day 2 covering the Opening Ceremony as well as the Finals for Master Duel, Duel Links and the TCG/OCG.
