Introduction

Plunder Patroll is a pirate themed deck that focuses on using your opponents attributes to summon powerful ships from your Extra Deck.

The deck revolves around Loading... , Loading... , and Loading... who all share the same effect to Special Summon a “Plunder Patroll” monster from your extra deck that is the same attribute as a monster your opponent controls or is in their graveyard.

The “Patrollship”s have powerful effects that allow you to disrupt your opponent while cycling through your “Plunder Patroll” cards by discarding and adding “Plunder Patroll” cards to your hand while also triggering helpful graveyard effects from your “Plunder Patroll” pirates.

The playstyle is unique and versatile making this deck very enjoyable and you will always find a new way to plunder the opponent!

Now, let's introduce the crew…

The Beards

These pirates, except for Loading... all share the effect to Special Summon a “Plunder Patroll” monster from your Extra Deck matching an attribute your opponent controls or is in their GY. Keep in mind that ALL “Plunder Patroll” card effects are hard once per turn.

Blackbeard, the Plunder Patroll Captain
Blackbeard, the Plunder Patroll Captain
The captain of your crew, and your primary engine card, Blackbeard is a vital part of this deck. Requiring 1 "Plunder Patroll" monster and any other monster, it's very easy to link summon out to the field.

Being the Captain, Blackbeard is the ONLY beard able to quick effect, during either player's turn, target 1 monster you control, Special Summon a “Plunder Patroll” monster from the Extra Deck matching your opponent's field/GY attributes, equip the targeted monster to the newly summoned monster, then (must equip to draw) draw 1 card.

The equip is very important as having a “Plunder Patroll” card equipped to your “Patrollship”s will grant extra abilities to the ships such as upgrading their effects to quick effects and/or adding "Plunder Patroll" cards from your deck to your hand, and the draw is crucial for digging for a "Plunder Patroll" card to discard it for cost to activate “Patrollship” effects except for Loading... . Because of this you will want to summon and activate Blackbeard multiple times during a duel to keep and maintain your card advantage.

Whitebeard, the Plunder Patroll Helm
Whitebeard, the Plunder Patroll Helm
Whitebeard is the most powerful Main Deck monster.

Being a tuner and having a floating effect to summon a “Plunder Patroll” monster from the deck when sent from the hand or field to the GY in addition to its primary effect during the opponent's turn to: Special Summon 1 "Plunder Patroll" monster from your Extra Deck matching your opponent's field/GY attributes, then equipping itself to that monster, means you will want to see this card early and often to Synchro with, Link into Loading... with, or keep in hand to discard during your opponent's turn.

Just keep in mind that the floating effect will lock you into only being able to Special Summon "Plunder Patroll" monsters for the rest of that turn and it cannot summon another copy of itself.

You may want to decline to activate the floating effect if you plan on Special Summoning non-”Plunder Patroll” monsters afterwards.

Redbeard, the Plunder Patroll Matey

Next, we have Redbeard who is an ideal target to summon off of Loading... during the opponent's turn.

Summoning Redbeard during your opponent's turn will allow you to use Redbeard’s effect to Special Summon another "Plunder Patroll" monster from your Extra Deck matching your opponent's field/GY attributes, then equipping itself to that monster.

It's secondary effect to equip itself to a "Plunder Patroll" monster when it is sent from the hand or field to the GY will pair nicely with Loading... by boosting your "Plunder Patroll" monsters by +500 ATK or using Shipyarrrd's GY effect to return Redbeard to the hand to set the Field Spell from the GY, as well as granting your “Patrollship”s their extra abilities.

Bluebeard, the Plunder Patroll Shipwright

Lastly, we have Bluebeard who is a free Special Summon from the hand if you control a "Plunder Patroll" monster (besides Bluebeard) and is the ONLY beard that doesn't have the effect to Special Summon a "Plunder Patroll" monster from the Extra Deck.

His secondary effect allows you to cycle through your deck by discarding 1 card, then drawing 1 card if sent from the field or hand to the GY.

This effect will be useful for digging for a "Plunder Patroll" card to make your “Patrollship”s effects live.

Goldenhair and Blackeyes

These monsters help extend and add consistency.

Goldenhair, the Newest Plunder Patroll
Goldenhair, the Newest Plunder Patroll
Goldenhair is your only 1 card starter into Loading... by Linking itself off into Loading... and then summoning itself back from the GY by discarding 1 card.

It has 2 effects in a slightly different style than the other pirates. You can discard or send from your field a “Plunder Patroll” monster including monsters in your S/T zones to Special Summon it from your hand, and you can Special Summon it from the GY by discarding 1 card, locking yourself into only being able to Special Summon “Plunder Patroll” monsters for the rest of the turn.

In addition to being a tuner, both effects are very useful for starting your plays and the summon from GY becomes a recurring summon every turn making this card another ideal target to summon off of Loading... .

Blackeyes, the Plunder Patroll Seaguide
Blackeyes, the Plunder Patroll Seaguide
Blackeyes can Special Summon itself from your hand by adding a “Plunder Patroll” monster (other than Blackeyes) from your GY to your hand.

This effect holds significant importance in ensuring you always have a “Plunder Patroll” card in hand to discard to activate your “Patrollship” effects.

Yes, it’s a free Special Summon and +1 to your hand. It also comes with the downside of locking you into only being able to Special Summon “Plunder Patroll” monsters for the rest of the turn.

Additionally, if your opponent tries to disrupt this effect by moving the targeted card in the GY, Blackeyes will still Special Summon itself.

It’s second effect Special Summons a “Plunder Patroll” monster currently treated as an equip card to your field in defense position when sent from the hand or field to the GY. Keep in mind link monsters cannot be summoned in defense position so this cannot Special Summon Loading... ! While rare, this effect has some niche interactions.

The first effect is incredibly valuable and makes your late game searches with Loading... a 1 card engine by searching this guy out.
