Introduction

What's going on ya'll, my name is Joku, I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! for 10+ years online, starting with 5ds Decade Duels (for any of ya'll who remember that), migrating over to Dueling Network (Dueling Book) and later into the various YGOpro project(s). Ive been convinced to get into the TCG IRL this year by my friends and team, so I am pretty excited about that and I am looking forward to making some decks in person. Shoutout to Team Checkmate and all of the talented and tenured duelists I've had the pleasure to collaborate with for the better part of the last decade. Ya'll be on the lookout for my Numeron Generaider / Pure Generaider guide coming soon, I just wanted to showcase this deck because the event is shutting down soon and I want some people to build and try this out. Without further adieu let's get into the Guide.

Preface

I'll just begin with prefacing what Loading... is and why you should play this deck.

For those of you who don't know Loading... is considered by most the boss of all Synchro Monsters, the god Synchro, and the 5ds protag trump card. Historically, in formats long past, if you ended the board with 1 Quasar you had a very high chance of winning the duel if you ended with multiple you auto-won the game, it is one of the strongest omni-negates in the game and still to this day the power of this card has remained unchanged and in fact gotten stronger with his 2 other counterparts Loading... and Loading... being released. It does require a semi-medium long combo chain in order to bring it out but a lot of decks that run this card can bring out multiple Quasar-type cards so high investment for high reward. This deck is strong because there are no hand Traps to interfere your combo, so if you go turn 1 or get defaulted turn 1 by loss of the coinflip, you can just go wild.

Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon
Cosmic Blazar Dragon
Shooting Quasar Dragon

Quasar, Blazar, and Sifr (my thoughts)

They all do something same, something different. They all focus on the all-powerful negate, Loading... is the only one legal in the NR format so thats what we're working with.
While most agree that Blazar is the best out of the three If you can make multiple Quasar-type cards I prefer ending on Loading... + Loading... over Loading... + Loading... .

My reasoning is the only cards I'm realistically going to stop is Monster effects with my negate(s), if they have any Spell or Trap that can threaten my board its gonna be raigeki or lighting storm or some mid tier s/t that's more applicable to the NR event, like Loading... Sifr essentially has a continous effect that stops the occurance of destruction once (battle or Card eff.) assuming I used blazar's negate already, I am Forced to stop such a card with Quasar but with SIFR I'm protected from all destruction passively saving a powerful Monster negate for another card. This continuous effect is what I believe makes Sifr such a strong card and in some cases has a higher ceiling than OG Quasar.

There's also some other interesting things about this card and why I think it counters the current NR meta. Loading... has such a unique negate, Its essentially a Quick Effect Monster only soft-negate folllowed up with a mandatory destruction of a card of your choice if you do succeed in negating that effect. This is important wording because of how it interacts with other cards. What I mean by soft-negate is that it doesn't Negate the activation of the Monster card's effect it just negates the effect of the activated Monster effect. Similarly, to how Loading... would negate a Monster effect that Added/Searched/Sent a card BUT NOT how Loading... would negate the activation of the same Monster effect.

The aforementioned is important because negating the effect cards with a hard once per turn clause: "You can only use the effect of "ThisCard" once per turn." now applies to those cards unlike negating the activation does not apply that clause since the activation was negated, you can actually use another copy or another instance of the card if you can produce it. This is important when understanding the NR Meta. Out of the NR Meta we have Megalith and Metalfoes as being top tier. Sifr beats both because of how cracked this card is, it is truly the boss who stands above all cards this event.

In order to showcase SIFR's power lets take these two (very realistic) scenarios for example against two meta NR decks:

  • Megalith
  • Metalfoes

You are the turn 1 player and have made Loading... . You pass your turn. Your opponent plays Megalith, and does Megalith things and after an eternity brings out their Loading... and plays their Loading... . An inexperienced or player that doesn't read Sifr could do this:

Chain Link 1 Megalith Portal (to add a ritual from the GY to hand) Chain Link 2 Phul (which copies the level of the targeted Monster in GY followed by adding target Monster to hand).

This is where Sifr First effect comes into play. Chain Link 3 Sifr (negate the effect of Phul and if this effect is allowed to resolve, Sifr can chose to destroy a card on the field in the resolution of his effect, choose the portal).

In this situation you have negated the effect of Phul, and destroyed Portal, not allowing either of those two cards to resolve properly, essentially ending the Megalith players plays.

**Notice they cannot re-activate the Megaliths have the hard once per turn clause I was talking about earlier.

Take the same scenario but this time assume this is not a first-time Megalith player, and they understand how to properly chain block in the sequence. Chain Link 1 Phul, Chain Link 2 Portal. In this situation, because Sifr cannot activate in response to to a Spell's effect, this Megalith player resolves both effects and recurs two Megalith ritual Monsters for example sake say they add Loading... and Loading... . Also assuming the Megalith player has enough material on the hand and board from Impcantation spam they can essentially Summon Bethor in two ways: with Phul's second effect or Phaleg's second effect and don't care if you SIFR either of those effects. HOWEVER Sifr still wins in this situation because, it still has a Monster negate, and hes just immune to the destruction brought upon by bethor's effect rendering the whole strategy useless. Its very unlikely after Summoning they have enough resources to bring out Phaleg who is their only other option, hoping it has 4000+ atk to beat over it (which is also very unlikely), but still once again it is protected from battle once, and once you negate a Monster effect, the Phaleg is getting destroyed.

You are the turn 1 player and have made Loading... . You pass your turn. Your opponent plays Metalfoes, and does Metalfoes things and after an eternity brings out their Loading... . You simply negate its effect with Sifr. Because this card's first effect has the hard once per turn clause, they cannot use this card again.

Extra Deck Cards

Goyo Defender
Accel Synchron
Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon
  • Loading... is simply how we bring about Sifr. It has a simple effect to Summon another copy of himself if all you control are EARTH Warrior Monsters. This effect can be used multiple times, so we Summon two more copies off of one.
  • Loading... is the Synchro Tuner that allows himself to increase or decrease his Level by one by sending a Synchron from the deck to GY. By increasing its Level we can tune 12 and Synchro Summon Sifr. (2 Goyos + a Lv6 Accel).
  • Loading... Deck boss, has Monster negate followed with card destruction of a card on the field. And it makes all cards you control immune to one instance of destruction (battle or card effect).

Main Deck Cards

Jester Confit
Righty Driver
Battlewasp - Sting the Poison
Plaguespreader Zombie
De-Synchro
  • Loading... allows us to put a Level 1 Monster needed to Summon Loading... .

  • Loading... is our first main engine to bring out Goyo Defender, it Summons Loading... . With Loading... this is an easy way to make Sifir.

  • Loading... our second engine to bring out Goyo Defender, it Summons Loading... . You need Loading... + Loading... or Loading... to make Sifr.

  • Loading... arguably the strongest card in the deck enables the best way to make Sifir if you have any other Level 1 in your hand to Special Summon

  • Loading... returns the first and properly Summoned Goyo Defender to Extra Deck then allows us to Summon the Synchro Material from the GYyard. Depending the material you used, this can be an instant Loading... .

Lefty Driver
Insect Imitation
  • Loading... off the Summon of Righty do NOT use the effect to increase Level by one; when you de-Synchro Boost this card by one and combine with a Level 1 extender to make Accel Synchron.
  • Loading... combines with a Level 1 to Summon Sting and get the combo rolling.

Example Combos

This is a NR deck, I cannot guarantee 100% consistent hands, but after much testing I can say you get a lot of viable hands. This is a one-trick-pony deck so if you can't achieve it just forfeit and go next. With that being said this is basically how you play the deck.

Combo 1 (Plaguespreader Zombie + Level 1 Extender)

Plaguespreader Zombie
Jester Confit
  1. Normal Summon Loading... and Special Summon Loading... / Loading...
  2. Synchro Summon Loading... using its effect to Summon two more.
  3. Special Summon Loading... from the GY, make Loading... and Synchro Summon Loading... .

Combo 2 (Righty Driver + De-Synchro + Level 1 Extender)

Righty Driver
Boost Warrior
De-Synchro
  1. Summon Loading... use its effect to summon Loading... (Do not modify Level}.
  2. Synchro Summon Loading... using its effect to Summon two more.
  3. Use Loading... on the Synchro Summoned Defender, resummoning Lefty and Righty Driver, this time using Lefty Driver's effect to make it Level 3.
  4. Summon Loading... / Loading... / Loading... to make Loading... , then Synchro Summon Loading...

Combo 3 (Righty Driver + Synkron Resonator + Level 1 Extender)

Righty Driver
Fire Flint Lady
Synkron Resonator
