Introduction

About the Author

Hello duelists, my name is OstrichChild and I am excited to be bringing you the early guide for Madolche. I have been playing Madolche in the TCG for almost three years, since the release of Savage Strike in January 2019, and feel very comfortable with the deck and what it is capable of.

Overview

The Madolche archetype is based around tasty desserts (the monsters) and an elaborate fantasy world (spells/traps). With a total of about thirty cards, Madolche gets some well-deserved love, and has gotten notable support in a wide variety of sets like Savage Strike, Return of the Duelist, Eternity Code, Primal Origin, Abyss Rising, Flames of Destruction, Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy, Crossed Souls, and Dark Neostorm (not including reprints). The latest cards introduced into the archetype include now staples, Loading... and Loading... . Due to the lack of support since 2020 and the pandemic, unfortunately, Madolche hasn't seen much tournament success since 2019.

Core Monsters

Being the Stratos for the archetype, it searches for your starters, is a level 4 body, and you're never really upset to see it.

Madolche Anjelly

Madolche Anjelly
Being the Lonefire Blossom for the deck, and being a body in the graveyard for Loading... , Anjelly is a must-have and is absolutely integral to your combos.

Madolche Hootcake

Madolche Hootcake

The only card in the deck that isn't used for XYZ summons, this owl acts as an extender, a beast type to resolve the powerful effect of Loading... , and can even act as a starter by banishing potential hand traps from the graveyard. Can be played at two, but I would strongly suggest playing three if you are playing several hand traps.
