Invoked 2026 Guide

1

1. Introduction

It's time to Normal Summon Aleister in the big '26! The Invoked strategy has received some absolutely ridiculous support this year, and if you're not paying attention to it heading into the upcoming meta, you're already making a misplay.

Invoked now has clear, powerful, and frankly unfair win conditions that have completely elevated its game plan. Loading... and Loading... are particularly devastating in a format revolving around hand traps, giving the deck powerful tools to control the opponent and punish them for trying to play the game.

But two broken Extra Deck monsters aren't the only things Invoked has going for it. The deck can push through multiple hand traps going first, while Loading... gives it the tools to crack established boards going second. Meanwhile, Loading... 's generic Fusion Materials make it a potential Loading... target against other Fusion strategies, turning your opponent's carefully constructed board into your personal Fusion Material pile. Sharing is caring, after all!

On top of all this, Thanks to Loading... , you're no longer restricted to just Normal summoning Aleister, you can special summon him to start or extend your plays. In the past, Invoked was ran as an engine alongside another archetype, but thanks to the new support, Invoked can be played pure and is very powerful. That isn't to say the variations of Invoked are gone, as a matter of fact, with Loading... , you can run him in a plethora of other spellcaster strategies like Fairy Tail or Magistus as an extender or even a starter depending on the deck.

In this guide, we'll cover the core combos, the different builds and tech options available, how to navigate the current meta, and everything else you need to know to start summoning otherworldly horrors and making your opponent question their life choices.

2. Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  1. Any combination of Aleister + Fire/Wind or Aleister + Earth/Light means you are able to combo.

  2. Invoked is very resilient to hand traps and can be difficult to stop with 1 for 1 interruptions.

  3. You can rip up to 6 cards from your opponent's Extra Deck by turn 2. Which is enough to completely ruin a deck's gameplan and guarantee you a win.

  4. Loading... makes your endboard immune to cards like Loading... thanks to its floodgate effect.

  5. With how much support that is available, there are plenty of tech options to play to make your Invoked deck that much stronger and more versatile.

  6. Invoked can comfortably run a healthy suite of hand traps, some of which can even double as combo pieces or extenders through Loading... . This gives the deck a potent mix of disruption, consistency, and explosive plays, allowing it to adapt to a variety of matchups.

Weaknesses

  1. Invoked adds from deck a lot so it is very weak to Loading...

  2. The main combos tend to summon from the Extra Deck often, so cards like Loading... and Loading... can be crippling unless you have a backup strategy.

  3. The endboard isn't very layered and is weak to some board breakers.

  4. Invoked is very resource heavy and goes through the Extra Deck quickly. It has no way to recycle its monsters back to grind unless you run cards like Loading... as a Loading... target to shuffle back your own monsters from the graveyard to give you that extra bit of grind game you might need.

  5. The extra deck is very tight, meaning the tech options you have access to are very limited.

Different Flavors of Aleister

Aleister the Invoker

The best Normal Summon ever! When Normal Summoned, Loading... searches Loading... , kickstarting our entire strategy. From there, his combo potential depends on which Attributes we have access to and what resources we're working with.

Going first, you'll generally use whatever Attributes are available in your hand to build your board. If you're worried about bricking, you can also run Loading... to enable a genuine one-card combo with Aleister. Just keep in mind that this line produces a weaker endboard than the deck's other combo routes, so you'll be sacrificing some ceiling for consistency.

Fortunately, we have several ways to get our favourite magician onto the field. Your primary access cards are:
