Introduction

G Golem is an archetype from the VRAINS series that consists of EARTH Cyberse monsters except for the WATER Loading... . Uniquely, many G Golem cards have effects that generate extra bodies on the field, allowing for higher Link Summons. Going first, this deck aims to set up an end board with decent interruptions and protection thanks to Loading... and perform an OTK on the following turn. In addition, a small Mathmech engine will be included to help with consistency.

G Golem Main Deck Cards

G Golem Pebble Dog
G Golem Pebble Dog

A starter and searcher – essentially a 2 card combo – this is one of your main combo pieces! The first effect allows you to add to your hand or Special Summon 1 Loading... from your Deck. However, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters, which is not an issue. In addition, the second effect allows you to add a "G Golem" card from your Deck to your hand if it's sent from the hand to the GY (via Loading... or Loading... ’s effect).

Running 3 copies of it is mandatory, as this is your only in-archetype searcher!

G Golem Rock Hammer
G Golem Rock Hammer

This card is an extender that generates 3 "G Golem" Tokens when tributed, allowing you to have more bodies for your link climb. It can also reduce it’s level by discarding a Cyberse monster which synergizes well with Loading... . However, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters.

Running 3 copies of Loading... is mandatory.

Gravity Balance
Gravity Balance

This card is an extender that can Special Summon 2 of your EARTH monsters with the same name that are banished or in your GY. This card will often be searched by Loading... and additionally it provides destruction protection for your "G Golem" cards.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

G Golem Extra Deck Cards

G Golem Stubborn Menhir
G Golem Stubborn Menhir

This card reborns OR adds to your hand an EARTH monster (that can be normal summoned/set) when Special Summoned from the GY – which you can easily do with Loading... or Loading... . If the monster was Special Summoned however – its effects are negated, also it is banished when it leaves the field. Fun fact: G Golem Stubborn Menhir can add Loading... from the GY to your hand – pretty neat trick, wouldn't you agree?

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

G Golem Crystal Heart
G Golem Crystal Heart

This card is the "heart" of the deck (pun intended) since it can revive any EARTH Link monster which also incudes stuff like Loading... or Loading... . It gives you more extension while it’s second effect that gives ATK boost, piercing damage and double attack to EARTH monsters co-linked with it can be useful when going for game.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

G Golem Invalid Dolmen
G Golem Invalid Dolmen

Your in-archetype boss monster – it’s co-link effect makes your co-linked cards unaffected by monster effects while also forcing your opponent to attack into it. Paired with cards like Loading... and Loading... this card is part of your end board. It’s 2nd effect also works well with Loading... giving you a free draw and a search. It also has a floating effect - if it's destroyed while co-linked it negates all face-up cards your opponent currently controls – for example field spells like Loading... or floodgates like Loading... .

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

G Golem Dignified Trilithon
G Golem Dignified Trilithon

Your 2nd in-archetype boss monster. Not as versatile as Loading... , but still a good option to consider. It can also discard cards like Loading... or Loading... before damage calculation giving you the ability to lower the attacking monster's ATK by 200 and negate it’s effects (pretty useful vs I:P made Loading... ). Additionally if your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a Link monster(s) you control you can negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that card (this is a Quick Effect).

Running 1 copy of Loading... is optional.

Consistency Cards

Cynet Mining
Cynet Mining

This card, along with Loading... , is your main consistency card. It allows you to search any Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster at the cost of sending 1 card from your hand to the GY. Usually, you want to search either Loading... (by discarding G Golem Pebble Dog) or Loading... .

Running 3 copies of Loading... is mandatory.

Small World
Small World

This card is another consistency card. It allows you to banish 1 monster (A) from your hand and 1 monster (B) from your Deck, then add 1 monster (C) from your Deck, given that monsters (A) and (B) share exactly 1 trait (i.e. Type, Attribute, Level, ATK or DEF), and monsters (B) and (C) also share exactly 1 trait. Thus, this card allows you to search combo pieces, handtraps, or even board breakers.

At least 2 Loading... are highly recommended.

Staple Cyberse Extra Deck Cards

Linguriboh
Linguriboh

This card is a Link-1 monster that requires 1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster. The first effect allows you to negate a Trap Card's effect and banish it. The second effect is not relevant to G Golems.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Cyberse Wicckid
Cyberse Wicckid

This card is a Link-2 monster that requires any 2 Cyberse monsters. Importantly, it allows you to search any Cyberse Tuner (e.g. Loading... ) if a monster is Special Summoned to a zone it points to. In addition, this card also protects Cyberse monsters it points to from destruction by card effects.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

I:P Masquerena
I:P Masquerena

This card is a Link-2 monster that requires 2 non-Link monsters and can be your secondary form of disruption. During your opponent's turn, you can Link Summon a Link monster (e.g. Loading... ) using materials you control, including this card. In addition, a Link monster that used this card as material cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects – see Loading... .

Running 1 copy of Loading... is optional.

Update Jammer
Update Jammer

This card is a Link-2 monster that requires 2 Level 2 or higher Cyberse monsters. Most importantly, if this card is sent to the GY as Link material, that Link monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase this turn. Thus, this card enables Loading... to easily OTK.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is optional.

Splash Mage
Splash Mage

This card is a Link-2 monster that requires any 2 Cyberse monsters and can be used to link climb into Loading... . It allows you to Special Summon a Cyberse monster from your GY in defense position. However, you can only Special Summon Cyberse monsters for the rest of the turn.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Code Talker Inverted
Code Talker Inverted

Another very important Link-2, it has an useful effect to Special Summon another Cyberse monster from your hand when Link Summoned – which allows you to summon Loading... from your hand even after you used your normal summon.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Decode Talker Heatsoul
Decode Talker Heatsoul

This card is a Link-3 monster that requires 2+ Cyberse monsters with different attributes. Every turn (including your opponent's turn), you can pay 1000 LP to draw 1 card. Thus, allowing you to draw either handtraps or follow up. In addition, if your LP are 2000 or less, you can banish this card and Special Summon a Link-3 or lower Cyberse monster from your Extra Deck, although this effect is generally not relevant to G Golems.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Transcode Talker
Transcode Talker

This card is a Link-3 monster that requires 2+ effect monsters (including non-Cyberse monsters) and can be used to link climb into Loading... . It allows you to Special Summon 1 Link-3 or lower Cyberse Link monster from your GY to a zone this card points to. However, you cannot Special Summon non-Cyberse monsters the turn you activate this effect. Note that this card's restriction is different from Loading... 's! Whereas Splash Mage's restriction only applies for the rest of the turn after you activate its effect, Loading... 's effect applies to the entire turn you activate its effect. In other words, you cannot activate Transcode Talker's effect and Special Summon a non-Cyberse monster in the same turn, regardless of when you Special Summon the non-Cyberse monster. This card also provides targeting protection to both it and its co-linked monsters, which can be helpful against cards such as Loading... . Also it is an EARTH Cyberse meaning it can be revived with Loading... .

Running 1 copy of Transcode Talker is mandatory.

Accesscode Talker
Accesscode Talker

This card is a Link-4 monster that requires 2+ effect monsters (including non-Cyberse monsters) and is your boss monster. Combined with Loading... , this card allows you to easily OTK.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Firewall Dragon
Firewall Dragon

This card is a Link-4 monster that requires 2+ effect monsters (including non-Cyberse monsters) and is your 2nd boss monster. It utilizes your co-links and gives you your main form of disruption paired alongside Loading... . If you have more than 1 co-link you can use it to get back resources from your GY.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax
Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax

This card is a tower that cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. In addition, if this card was Link Summoned using Loading... as material, it cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. Thus, it is very difficult to remove from the field for many decks. In addition, this card has a floating effect that non-target shuffles 1 card on the field into the Deck.

Running 1 copy of Loading... is mandatory.

Mathmech Engine

Mathmech Sigma
Mathmech Subtraction
Mathmech Addition
Mathmech Equation
Extenders Package
Mathmech Circular
Primathmech Alembertian
Mandatory Core
Mathmech Diameter
Mathmech Nabla
Mathmech Superfactorial
Primathmech Laplacian
Disruption Package

Loading... allows for Mathmech Engine to exist. It is a quick way to access materials for powerful monsters thanks to Loading... and Loading... , and could provide a threatening disruption via Loading... and Loading... . Loading... is another key card that allows you to search out any Mathmech card – either Mathmech Circular or an extender. Alembertian can also special Loading... or Mathmech Diameter with its secondary effect if needed.

Extenders Package focuses on swarming to make your boss monsters. Sigma can revive itself from the GY if you have no monsters in the Extra Monster Zone (Circular can send Sigma from the Deck to the GY), Subtraction/Addition can Special Summon itself freely and Equation can revive a Mathmech monster.

Disruption Package focuses on disruptions by using Superfactorial to Xyz Summon Loading... with Diameter. This results in a monster, spell/trap removal plus a hand snipe and an omni-negate.

If you favor making the most disruptive board possible, go for the Disruption Package. If you favor flexibility in making your desired board, go for the Extenders Package. Both packages may be mixed, but then there are so many cards that need to be included which may lead to consistency issues.

Cyberse Tech Cards

Parallel eXceed
Parallel eXceed

This card is an extender that can Special Summon itself from your hand when you Link Summon to a zone that Link monster points to. You can then Special Summon another Loading... from your Deck. Since its Level becomes 4, you can use this card to summon Link monsters like Loading... or Xyz monsters like Loading... .

Running 3 copies of Parallel eXceed is highly recommended.

Gatchiri @Ignister
Gatchiri @Ignister

This card is an extender that can Special Summon itself from your hand by negating the effects of 1 Cyberse effect monster you control. Then, if this card is sent from the field to the GY, you can make 1 face-up monster you control unaffected by your opponent's card effects until the end of your opponent's turn. Thus, you can Link Summon Loading... using this card to ensure an OTK or protect Loading... from all other effects.

Meowseclick
Meowseclick

This card can Special Summon itself from your hand if a Field Spell is activated. In addition, during your turn, the effects of your opponent's face-up Field Spell are negated. Thus, this card can help you deal with Field Spells such as Loading... and Loading... .

Lady Debug
Lady Debug

Lady Debug is the typical searcher – can search Loading... or any Level 3 or lower Cyberse monster like Loading... or Loading... or even Loading... as a free discard fodder. Also it can be Special Summoned via Loading... if needed.

Salamangreat Almiraj
Salamangreat Almiraj

This card is a Link-1 monster that requires 1 Normal summoned monster with 1000 or less ATK. You can Link Summon this card using common handtraps such as Loading... or Loading... . Thus, when combined with Loading... , this card can unbrick suboptimal hands.

Link Spider

This card is a Link-1 monster that requires 1 Normal monster. You can Link Summon this card using Tokens from cards such as Loading... or your opponent's Loading... .

Tri-Gate Wizard
Tri-Gate Wizard

This card is usually played for a negation engine. Loading... helps in formats where many decks don’t care about the Special Summoning restriction, like backrow or tribute summon focused decks. Here Loading... for example can negate possible floodgates on Turn 3.

Knightmare Unicorn
Knightmare Unicorn

If this card is Link Summoned, you can discard 1 card and shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. The co-link effect can come up quite often because of link arrows. This card is usually run as an Loading... target - meaning that you'll probably going to summon this card on your opponent's turn via her effect because of multiple Cyberse locks on your turn.

Handtraps, Board Breakers & Other Staple Cards

Maxx "C"
Maxx "C"

This powerful handtrap can severely limit your opponent's plays.

Running 3 copies of Loading... is mandatory.

Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring

This versatile handtrap is useful against most decks. In addition, it can negate your opponent's Loading... .

Running 3 copies of Loading... is mandatory.

Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion
Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion

This handtrap can protect effects that Special Summon from the GY such as Loading... , Loading... , Loading... , Loading... , etc. It can also protect your Loading... from cards such as Loading... or Loading... . This ensures that Loading... can be summoned using Loading... , which grants an omni-negate.

At least 1 Loading... is highly recommended.

Effect Veiler
Effect Veiler

This versatile handtrap is useful against most decks. Moreover, it is a Loading... bridge to Loading... .

At least 1 Loading... is highly recommended.

Called by the Grave
Called by the Grave

This card can help you deal with your opponent's handtraps, including Loading... .

Running 2 copies of Loading... is mandatory.

Crossout Designator
Crossout Designator

Similar to Loading... , this card can help you deal with your opponent's handtraps.

Forbidden Droplet
Forbidden Droplet

This card can help you break your opponent's board and also trigger Loading... ’s search effect.

Infinite Impermanence
Infinite Impermanence

This handtrap is similar to Loading... . However, since it is not a monster, it cannot be used as a Loading... bridge. Furthermore, because this card can only be activated from your hand if you control no cards, it does not synergize well with Loading... . Unlike Effect Veiler, however, this card can be activated outside of your opponent's Main Phase.

Other Handtraps
Artifact Lancea
D.D. Crow
Droll & Lock Bird
Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill
Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit
Nibiru, the Primal Being
PSY-Framegear Gamma
PSY-Frame Driver
Skull Meister
Token Collector
Dimension Shifter

These other handtraps can be useful in certain scenarios, depending on the format. Do NOT run Loading... in G Golem.

Backrow Removal
Archfiend Eccentrick
Harpie's Feather Duster
Lightning Storm
Cosmic Cyclone
Twin Twisters
Evenly Matched
Red Reboot

These cards can help you deal with backrow-heavy decks.

Code Talker Package

Micro Coder
Code Generator
Cynet Conflict

The Code Talker package offers an omni-negate in the form of Loading... , a powerful Counter Trap that can be activated if you control a Code Talker monster (e.g. Loading... ). Cynet Conflict can be searched by Loading... if the latter was sent from the hand or field to the GY as material for the Link Summon of a Code Talker monster. Likewise, Micro Coder can be accessed by Loading... if the latter was sent from the hand or field to the GY as material for the Link Summon of a Code Talker monster.

Both Micro Coder and Code Generator have different effects depending on whether they are sent from the hand or field to the GY. If Micro Coder is sent from the hand, you can add 1 Cynet Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand, usually Cynet Conflict or Loading... . If Micro Coder is sent from the field, you can add 1 Cynet Spell/Trap OR 1 Level 4 Cyberse monster, including any Mathmech monster or even Loading... . Likewise, if Code Generator is sent from the hand, you can send 1 Cyberse monster with 1200 or less ATK from your Deck to the GY, such as Micro Coder, Loading... or Loading... . If Code Generator is sent from the field, you can add that card to your hand instead.

Salamangreat Package

Salamangreat Balelynx
Salamangreat Sanctuary

Loading... is an alternative Link-1 monster to Loading... . If you control Loading... on the field, you can Link Summon Salamangreat Balelynx to a zone that Cyberse Wicckid points to. When Cyberse Wicckid's effect to search a Cyberse Tuner is activated, you can chain block with Salamangreat Balelynx's effect to search Loading... . Then, you can use Salamangreat Sanctuary as discard fodder for cards such as Loading... or Loading... .

About the author

Hello, I'm

. I'm a deck helper for Mathmech and G Golem in the MasterDuelMeta Discord and have been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! since the release of the Structure Deck - Blaze of Destruction back in 2005. I picked up Mathmech with the release of Mystic Fighters back in 2019 and it became my main deck ever since. Therefore it is my go-to deck in Master Duel.

Final Thoughts

And that's all folks! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or the g-golem channel in the MasterDuelMeta Discord. Otherwise, if you notice any mistakes or have any suggestions, let me know! This is my first guide I’ve written by the way, so any feedback is really appreciated! I also want to say a big thank you to
