Branded Despia is an archetype focused on Fusion Summoning powerful Fusion Monsters based on Branded engine with Loading... as a meta-defining card. It has been proved by topping some competitive scenes both in OCG and TCG format.
In this article I hope to provide a good explanation and introduction to Branded Despia, how it works, along with the combo guide and sample decklist.
Core Main Deck Monsters
Fallen of Albaz
Albaz also has an effect similar to Loading... on normal or special summons on the field, by fusing it and your opponents' monster(s) with discard as a cost. Providing you a strong board breaking power.
Aluber the Jester of Despia
One of your main starters of Despia. It search for a "Branded" spell/trap from your deck on normal or special summons.
Aluber also has a second effect when the card on your GY and your Fusion Monster is destroyed by battle, or leaves the field (destroyed, returned or banished) because of an opponent's card effect, it will give you a free targeted negate and a special summon from GY.
Remember you can only use one of these two effects hard once per turn.
Tragedy is your main fodder as search tool for a "Despia" monster from your deck if this card is sent to the GY, or banished by card effect. so this card is your main Fusion Material for Loading... into Loading... . a good discard material for Loading... and an ideal target for some searching spell like Loading... or Loading... . Notes: effect would not be triggered if this card was discarded as a cost like Loading... ,Loading... or Loading... .
The second effect of Tragedy helps you to recover any Branded spell/trap from the GY by banishing this card from the GY to set the spell on the field.
Remember you can only use one of these two effects hard once per turn
You can activate Comedy from your hand as protection on your "Despia" card on the field from targeted effect. so its good to have it while you are summoning Loading... because it can prevent your Aluber from being negated by generic hand trap negation like Loading... or Loading... .
Comedy's second effect can only be activated from the GY as quick effect. Provide you a maneuver move by tributing your Fusion Monster on the field as cost to dodge from targeted or field effect/negation, for special summon this card from your GY.
Ad Libitum of Despia
Ad Libitum is your recovery card. It can special summon back one of your "Despia" monsters or your Level 8 or higher Fusion Monsters, which is banished or in your GY if this card was used as Fusion Material. its main purpose is to reset your Loading... s effect after Loading... resolved.
Mercourier and Kitt
you play these monsters as part of Loading... engine.
Searchable negation from hand. You can send this card from your hand to the gy to negate a monster effect if you control a Fusion Monster that lists Loading... as Fusion Material. You can also banish this card to search for Loading... or monster card that mentions it from your deck.
Also, one of your starters, like Aluber. Search a Branded spell/trap from your deck or recover it from Banished or your GY on normal or special summon and then place one card from your hand to the bottom of your deck. it can be used as an extender if you control a Fusion Monster that list Loading... as Fusion Material.
Loading... is a big body and a negate monster. It can be special summoned if dramaturge is used as Fusion Material from the hand or the field.
Loading... can search for Loading... and send it to the GY to make your Loading... activateable or you can send your Branded Spell/trap for extra advantages. it is also a good substitute for Loading... while on the field or GY.
Loading... a good search for Loading... . It can be special summoned if your opponent controls monster(s) card more than you do, so it's a very good card for going second in cost of a free summon for Loading... . it is also a decent Fusion Material for Loading... with Loading... so you can add back this card from the GY to your hand can During the End Phase if a Fusion Monster(s) was sent to your GY this turn as next turn follow up.
