Branded

The engine combos with Stardust by summoning Seals. It can also be consistently accessed in your Stardust Bystial combos.

An issue the variant might face is with Extra Deck space. There might not be enough Synchros for Loading... and Loading... , and it can struggle to make use of Loading... or Fidraulis with their locks. It can sometimes struggle to combo with Stardust because of the lock. It can feel clunky.

Thank you to my beloved Crunch for teaching me about Branded 🥰

Loading... :

I'm going to call this White Albaz. Loading... is old Albaz.

This card is always treated as "Fallen of Albaz". Including in your deck.

  • You can only play 2 copies of it max if you’re running old Albaz.

  • This makes it summonable with Loading... , most importantly.

  • Loading... on it, or old Albaz will affect both of them.

If this card is in your hand: You can send 1 monster that mentions "Fallen of Albaz" from your Extra Deck to the GY; Special Summon this card, also you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Level 8 Fusion or Synchro Monsters.

  • It usually dumps Albion for cost

  • This makes Cartesia’s and Ecclesia’s add themselves to the hand in the End Phase. They can be summoned on your opponent’s turn with AiL’s effect for additional disruption.

  • Since this effect locks you, you can Normal Summon it for comboing with Stardust. You can later add it with Brotaur or Seyfert in your Stardust Bystial combo, then activate the effect. Seyfert can be summoned by Seals in the middle of your combos. I don't recommend Normal Summoning it if you don't have extension. You won’t be locked if you started the combo with Ecclesia. If you’re using Seyfert to add it, you can search Saronir with Brotaur to make use of Seyfert’s GY effect, and add an additional Bystial.

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Ecclesia" monster from your hand, Deck, or GY.

  • Ecclesia can then be used to summon Loading... , letting you summon Seals.

The two Albazs also provide additional search targets for Magnamhut and Seals. Magnamhut is practically a 1c starter when you’re going second. White Albaz is a broken summon with Seals, giving you an additional body compared to summoning Old Albaz directly, and Ecclesia adds itself in the End Phase for more follow-up if you summoned Mirrorjade. You also get to decide when to use your Old Albaz, instead of having to use both Seals and it at the same time, thanks to Ecclesia’s Quick Effect.

Loading... can search the new Albaz, and it can discard your Stardust, using Loading... . Irondash can summon Kitt, which can search Loading... , which can then immediately summon Dis Pater in the End Phase. But you will usually struggle with having fully occupied zones.

In general, BIHS is probably the best searcher in the game thanks to White Albaz.

The engine provides great plays with very little setup or comboing.

Pay-offs

Fallen of Albaz
Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous
The Fallen & The Virtuous
Albion the Branded Dragon
Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon

Loading... summons Quem or Cartesia, and returns to the field each turn, so it will usually survive, and if it does not survive, you can use the GY effect to recycle your Extra Deck and shuffle an opponent's card. On your opponent’s turn, it can summon White Albaz, then Ecclesia can summon old Albaz to summon Mirrorjade. It provides so much value for a Synchro that’s really easy to make.

Cartesia and Ecclesia both add themselves to the hand in the End Phase. You can access them with the effect of AiL to Special Summon a Tuner from your hand. This is facilitated by summoning Dis Pater with Fallen and Virtuous if you don't have Regained. You can also discard Ecclesia or Cartesia with OG Albaz, then summon them from the GY with Quem.

In general, Quem, Cartesia, and Ecclesia can all extend your Stardust Bystial combos thanks to Arrive in Light summoning them. Additionally, if you open with Arrive in Light, these Tuners can let you full combo with a Bystial.

Unfortunately, Stardust locks into Synchro, so you usually can't Fusion Summon with Cartesia in your Stardust Bystial combos.

Loading... is a great and versatile board breaker, potential extender, and combo piece. It dumps for cost.

Loading... gives more value to OG Albaz’s effect, letting you fuse more than one of your opponent’s monsters. It’s a towers that can recycle your GY/Banishment or disrupt your opponent’s resources. Its GY effect searches Loading... . It can be dumped in case you already have Albion in the GY.

Junk Warrior Engine & Loading...

Assault Sonic Warrior
Full-Speed Warrior
Synchro Fellowship
Junk Speeder
Nightwinged Cleric

This variant revolves around summoning Loading... . Stardust Bystial isn’t the optimal way to play Synchron/Junk Warrior.

This is a legitimate variant you can play, but I personally don't enjoy combo-heavy decks, and it runs way too many bad engine cards.

The pros:

  • Stardust Synchron can search Loading... or Loading... , both of which make Stardust a 1c combo starter, thanks to the Junk Warrior/Synchron cards. These lines do not incorporate AiL. You can search AiL when starting with the other 1c Speeder lines.

  • Speeder makes your Stardust Bystial combos a lot easier to access and way more consistent, depending on the consistency of your Junk Warrior starters.

  • With the addition of these cards, Junk Armor and Loading... also become a 1c starter, and become more versatile. ROTA becomes more versatile as well. Signal needs a tribute to start your combos.

  • Speeder can significantly increase the ceiling of your Stardust Bystial combos by summoning it using Stardust and Brotaur after summoning SMSD.

The cons:

  • You'll need to run multiple bricks to make these combos work. Loading... is a garnet, since you need to search it with Loading... , and Loading... is a brick and a bad extender; Loading... is also a brick.

  • On top of these bricks, Speeder requires running even more Synchron bricks that can also be garnets. While you might start the combo using Scrap Synchron and/or Junk Synchron, Speeder won't be able to summon them from the GY.

  • Weak into Fuwalos and Maxx C.

You're basically increasing the quality of the cards you already play, but at the same time, decreasing the quality of every other part of your deck. Meister doesn't really need an increase in quality, and Stardust and Signal aren't horrible draws in other variants, and they're usually only 3-5 copies, so even if they don't 1c combo, it's not the end of the world.

Loading... :

Cleric summons Loading... , which can search Stardust, making Stardust accessible using any level 8 Synchro engine.

  • The issue is that level 8 Synchro engines will usually require your Normal Summon, so you have to summon Stardust with its own effect to start the combos. This makes you unable to summon Dis Pater, unless you opened with a Bystial.

  • Cleric also requires a discard, and Sonic is a brick, unless you run the Junk Warrior cards.

  • Cleric will be able to full combo using the Junk Warrior/Synchron bricks mentioned earlier, but at that point, you really don't need a level 8 Synchro engine when you already play so much engine and bricks.

  • Level 8 Synchro engines already have access to other options that have good pay-offs on their own.

Elfnote

Medius the Pure
Elfnote Power Patron
Elfnote Lucina
Elfnote Tinia
Elfnote Seraphim Strelitzia

1c full Stardust Bystial combo, on top of additional disruption, including spot negate that can even interact with Droplet/DRNM. Layered board. Loading... shuffles your garnets. A bunch of extenders, some are also starters.

Interesting variant, despite being 1c combo slop.

Assault Mode

Psi-Reflector
Crimson Blader/Assault Mode
Assault Lich
Duel Evolution - Assault Zone
Nightwinged Cleric

1c full Stardust Bystial combo, with more disruption than usual.

Loading... is at 3, and can be used as a starter and extender; other than that, the starters are low-quality. Plays a lot of bricks, including Loading... , and Loading... .
