Fidraulis Harmonia
Golden Cloud Beast - Malong
Storm-Bane Dragon Destorbim
Despian Luluwalilith
Stardust Sifr Divine Dragon

Loading... is a hand trap and end board piece, since it's searchable by Magnamhut. On your turn, it can also be an extender and board breaker when going second, or against turn 0 plays, like with Loading... .

As we stray further away from Accel Synchron, thanks to Loading... , and as we rely less on Centur-Ion, searching a Bystial with Magnamhut for the end board is not as impactful as it used to be. Their disruption isn’t always reliable, especially as hand traps. Fidraulis, on the other hand, consistently provides 1-2 disruption(s) and/or follow-up. The only downside is that you trigger Regained’s draw less consistently.

We struggle to justify running hand traps, but this card is insane for Stardust Bystial and is more than just a hand trap. Our going first and second gets a significant buff.

It increases our floor, not just the ceiling. Magnamhut comes up beyond the Stardust Bystial combo. Fidraulis makes Magnamhut, and in extension, Lubellion, much better cards. If you don’t full combo, and you Seals pass, you can summon Brotaur with Seals, and add Fidraulis.

Since it’s a Tuner, it can be summoned with AiL’s effect. It can summon a level 8 Synchro with Brotaur. You can always add another copy later with Magnamhut.

Stardust Bystial is in a relatively unique position, being able to use Fidraulis without compromising much on the Extra Deck or caring about the lock, and to also use it as a consistent part of the end board on top. Stardust Bystial is arguably the best deck for Fidraulis.

When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field (Quick Effect): You can reveal this card in your hand and up to 5 Synchro Monsters in your Extra Deck; apply these effects in sequence based on the total number revealed.

  • We can easily trigger all 3 effects. It could be challenging to find 5 Synchros to reveal after your full combo, if you're not running a lot of Synchros, or your variant uses up a lot of Synchros to combo. You can delay using Victim Sanctuary, Accel Synchron, or Stand Up to avoid this.

2+: Special Summon this card.

  • Provides a Tribute for Baldrake on your opponent’s turn, or for Lubellion on your turn, making them even more of a threat when going second.

  • It can be used as material for Seals or for Synchros, like Juraishin.

  • Having board presence with 2500 ATK makes it even more of a threat.

  • You can’t choose not to activate this effect, but it does not need to successfully summon itself to apply the rest of the effects, so you can chain Loading... to it, discard it, and still apply the other effects. You can discard it for free against Loading... . Destroying it with Dis Pater doesn’t stop it.

4+: Send 1 of the revealed Synchro Monsters to the GY.

Options to consider:

  • Loading... bounces a face-up card for a second removal. The most generic and versatile option, arguably the best.

  • Loading... reborns SMSD from banishment after using its negate, giving you an additional omni-negate and banish. It reborns any Dragon, so it can be useful for extension, recovery, and potential disruption outside of your full combo board.

  • Loading... places a monster in the back row at the cost of a discard. It can be better than Malong in some scenarios. It can clog up your opponent’s Pendulum Zone. You can choose not to reveal 6 to make sure you can clog it. It can help your opponent summon Doomed Dragon if their deck allows. Not a bad level 8 generic Synchro.

  • Loading... summons a Branded Tuner, Centur-Ion Primera, or Spenta, making Fidraulis basically a 1c starter for these variants. Not a bad generic Level 12 boss monster to summon.

  • Loading... can extend with its GY effect, in case you can Tribute. The Stardust Synchro can negate your opponent’s disruption or hand traps. You can use this turn 0 with Baldrake or Nibiru.

  • Loading... reborns Stardust Synchron or Victim Sanctuary for extension. It can be played in the Centur-Ion variant for Meister’s reveal and as a great Crimson Dragon target, so it’s a viable option. Dumping the only Synchro you can reveal with Loading... can be detrimental, in case you need it.

  • Loading... shuffles a card if your card(s) get destroyed.

  • Loading... shuffles Extra Deck monsters, garnets like Brotaur, if you can get them to the GY, or 1 ofs that get removed like Regained.

  • Loading... reborns a Dragon Synchro, mostly just to provide recovery for your end board, but that’s usually unnecessary.

6: Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.

  • Non-targeting.

  • It counts itself as one of the reveals.

also you cannot activate the effects of monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck until the end of your next turn, except Synchro Monsters.

  • This is usually completely fine for Stardust Bystial’s relevant variants. It prevents us from using S:P’s effects, or other monsters, depending on the variant, like Loading... .

  • The lock doesn’t apply to Extra Deck monsters that aren’t directly summoned from the Extra Deck, or that don’t activate on the field, like Seals’ effect when tributed. In some variants, like in Yummy, you can reborn your link from the GY, so the lock does not apply, but that's not always possible.

  • If you end on Seals or S:P, make sure to use their on-field effects first, then use Fidraulis.

Crystron Halqifibrax Prism
Dragunity Lord - Georgius
Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg
Dragunity Knight - Areadbhair

Halqifibrax lets some engines 1c full Stardust Bystial combo. It can provide a larger board than typical combos.

Halqifibrax summons Accel Synchron to dump Stardust. Summon Loading... using Halqifibrax and Accel, Georgius then summons Loading... . Stardust tributes Georgius to summon itself. With AiL activated, summon Dis Pater using Gae Dearg. As of yet, this is the recommended use of the package.

  • Don’t activate Gae Dearg unless you have a search target. Otherwise, you might have to add then discard CWD or Brotaur.

  • Neither Accel Synchron nor Gae Dearg is summoned properly. You cannot reborn them with Dis Pater or Quetzacoatl.

  • If your engine requires a lot of Extra Deck Space, you can remove the Dragunity cards and just access Stardust. This way, you can tribute Halqifibrax and keep Accel Synchron for a Level 10 Synchro Summon with Brotaur.

  • You can also summon Seals with Gae Dearg and Georgius, though it’s usually redundant.

  • In case you open with a Bystial, you can summon Loading... on your turn for a monster negate and banish to insulate your combo from Nibiru and to not require Georgius to remain on the field and use it for the Tribute instead.

  • Halqifibrax needs a specific combination of levels, and since Loading... is level 5, you can’t use a Link-2 monster and a level 4 Tuner, and you’ll need an additional level. Currently, the best variant that accesses Halqifibrax is Magistus. It can summon 3 Main Deck bodies, including a Tuner, though it’s not very consistent. You’ll have to use Zoroa. Detailed information is in the Magistus tab

Alternatively, Gae Dearg can add then discard Loading... trigger it to summon itself, Stardust tributes Baby Roc. This allows you to keep Georgius for its other effect(s). On your opponent’s turn, Georgius summons Loading... .

If you run Loading... and had access to its GY effect, Georgius can also use its Spell/Trap negate. This is not very consistent. For consistent access to the negate, you can summon Loading... to equip Gae Dearg. After using the negate, you can use Luin to Synchro Summon Loading... using Accel Synchron. This triggers Luin to equip itself to Georgius, making Georgius prevent your opponent’s monster effect activation in the GY.

This line requires a lot more Extra Deck Space, and you’ll have to skip summoning Loading... to summon the second Accel Synchron, and you’ll miss out on Areadbhair’s negate anyway.

  • If your engine can summon a 4th body, you can use it as a tribute, so you don’t need Baby Roc to keep Georgius on the field. The Magistus engine can summon a 4th body when starting with Spenta, but that requires more Extra Deck space. Starting with the Brilliant Fusion engine can provide the needed tribute. You can also use any extender.

  • Gae Dearg has many different options for its search and discard effect. In most Stardust Bystial variants, it’s very unlikely that you have a discard other than the monster you search, so it has to be something you can use in the GY. As far as I’m aware, none are worth the brick, besides Baby Roc, which isn’t necessary either.

  • Luin and Zalen are also alternative summons using Halqifibrax’s effect.

Crimson Dragon Quetzacoatl

Boss monster. Quetzacoatl significantly increases the ceiling of our end boards with the changes it facilitates for our combo lines and with its disruption. It also provides great recovery and makes OTKing much easier.

Summoned at the end of your combos using Stardust and Lubellion or, in your Meister lines, the level 8 Dragon Synchro.

If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can Special Summon as many Dragon Synchro Monsters from your GY as possible, also you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn. Potentially summons 2-3 boss monsters.

  • This can always reborn Dis Pater, making us not reliant on Regained, and we can instead use it to recover Dis Pater in case it was outed, or search Baldrake instead of Saronir and reborn it with Regained for more disruption. You might lose out on AiL’s draw if you only have Regained to trigger it, but it’s usually worth it.

  • In non-Meister lines that don’t start with summoning Stardust with its effect, you can use SMSD to summon Seals as an end board piece, then reborn SMSD with Quetzacoatl.

  • In Seals lines that start by tributing it with Loading... , you can tribute SMSD with Stardust, giving you an additional body for Synchro Summoning, and reborn SMSD later.

  • In Loading... lines, you can also reborn the level 8 Dragon Synchro.

  • For Centur-Ion lines, you can use Loading... to summon Loading... to be then used for Lubellion’s Tribute, and therefore, you can draw 1 with Regained on your turn. This also means you get to keep the Bystial you search on the field, so you can end on both Druiswurm and Baldrake for Accel Synchron’s and Stand Up’s Synchro Summons, and/or additional disruption. Generally, it makes us less dependent on Phalanx’s GY effect for the end board.

  • It can also be summoned with Stand Up in the Centur-Ion variant. This can help you play around Kaijus or Super Poly.

  • Depending on the variant, you might have other options to summon as well.

  • This can turn the game around in your grind game, especially if you have more than one Synchro in the GY. SMSD and Dis Pater can be challenging to recover. Quetzacoatl will make it a lot easier.

When your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can return 1 other Dragon Synchro Monster you control to the Extra Deck, and if you do, negate the activation.

  • You cannot attempt to return SMSD and other monsters that are or mention Loading... , because of Loading... , but you can return Dis Pater, ideally after using its effect, and the other Synchros mentioned here.

Gains ATK equal to the total original ATK of all other Synchro Monsters you control.

  • You can easily gain 7500 or over 10000 ATK.

  • SMSD’s and Quetzacoatl’s negate will reduce its attack, sometimes to 0, so keep that in mind.

Loading...

Stardust Dragon - Victim Sanctuary

Combo and end board piece. Sanctuary provides Loading... a worthwhile Synchro not just to reveal, but also to combo with.

You cannot activate both effects in the same Chain.

When your opponent activates a card or effect in response to the activation of your card or effect (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; negate that opponent's effect, and if you do, destroy that card.

  • It can insulate your combos from hand traps or disruption, and protect your established board. It can count as a form of disruption.

  • It might be detrimental to tribute itself after activating CWD, since you won't have a Synchro for CWD to summon Brotaur. This is not an issue if your opponent responds to AiL instead. By the time CWD can trigger itself, you'll be able to activate its second effect for another Dragon Synchro:

If your monster(s) was Tributed this turn (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Stardust" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck.

  • This provides you additional disruption and/or a body to combo further, so tributing itself for its negate is not a big deal.

  • It’s activatable thanks to the tributes of Junk Armor, Stardust, Lubellion, Signal, Baldrake, Beast, and its own effect.

  • It can summon another copy of itself, giving you the negate, and the ability to reuse this effect next turn if you have a second target, or summon Loading... , which negates Special Summons, providing you with a second form of disruption. I have all of the relevant rulings related to that mentioned in Blazar’s description in the Centur-Ion tab.

  • This effect does not Synchro Summon, so it can’t summon Loading... or Loading... . This also means the Synchro is not summoned properly, so they can’t be summoned again with Quetzacoatl, and Stardust Warrior cannot summon itself in the End Phase with its effect.

  • It's better to delay this effect for your opponent's turn, since Quetzacoatl can summon Victim Sanctuary again. Quetzacoatl won’t be able to summon Sanctuary from the banishment, nor can it summon back the Synchro that Sanctuary summons. It will be redundant, and worse to use it turn 1. The effect is useful if you have to use the negate, or if Sanctuary was removed.

Victim Sanctuary is not Loading... , nor does it mention it in its text, therefore, it doesn’t provide SMSD an additional attack; it can’t be summoned from the GY by Junk Signal. It’s not protected by AiL, so it can be returned by Quetzacoatl.

It’s arguably the best level 8 Synchro to combo with AiL. This is what I’ve been looking for! Unlike Dis Pater lines, you won’t have the second Tuner if you have to use Stardust’s effect to summon itself to start your combo. Meister works for these lines, because it starts with summoning Stardust using Armor’s effect, instead of its own.

Synchro Emergency

Hand trap that can facilitate multiple disruptions, it provides great follow-up and a 2c combo consistency boost, and it can act as a great 2c starter/extender on your turn.

Stardust Bystial is arguably the best home for Emergency, just like Loading... . The additional 2c combo consistency it provides and its high impact makes it perfect for us. It literally starts your Stardust Bystial Synchro plays on your opponent’s turn.

If only your opponent controls a monster, you can activate this card from your hand.

  • You can activate your Bystials or Fidraulis in the same Chain. Avoid summoning them before activating it. If your opponent Chains Maxx C to them, you can activate Emergency to summon them with it instead, and their effects will still resolve.

You cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck until the end of the next turn after this card resolves, except Synchro Monsters

  • Lock for two turns. Not ideal for a lot of variants, but providing you access to Stardust and Synchro plays on your opponent’s turn makes you rely less on your non-Synchro plays.

also Special Summon 1 monster from your hand (but its effects are negated), then, if your opponent controls a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you can Special Summon 1 “Synchron” monster from your Deck.

  • Summons Stardust, which can trigger to add Signal, then you can add AiL on your turn, since it gives you access to it in the GY. This facilitates follow-up plays. Emergency takes up two cards in your hand to do anything, but for Stardust Bystial, this fact can make up for it.

  • You have to summon a monster from your hand in order to summon Stardust. This can make this effect challenging to use, as you might not have an appropriate monster to summon. You might only have Lubellion, which can’t be summoned, or you might only have Spells/Traps, etc. You will have to manage your hand to make this card activatable. This card might not be great for certain variants for this reason.

  • You might not want to summon a Primera, which is just going to be negated, for example. You might want to use it on your turn to start your plays. This can also be a relevant flaw in this card.

  • Summoning a monster in your hand can be crucial for extending in general.

  • You can then activate the following effect:

You can banish this card from your GY; immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster using monsters you control.

  • This can let you Synchro Summon level 10 Synchros like Loading... using your Bystials. This can also trigger Druiswurm’s effect turn 0, for 2 disruptions. If the monster you summoned from your hand is a LIGHT/DARK, you can also trigger Baldrake’s effect, then Synchro Summon for 2 banishes, making Bystials, especially Baldrake and Druiswurm, even better hand traps.

  • Chaos Angel can threaten your opponent’s board even further with its 3500 ATK body, especially if they have no out for it. It can also facilitate your combos with the protection it provides to your Synchros.

  • Having more and consistent access to Chaos Angel is a huge deal, especially against decks that struggle to or can’t out it. Summoning Chaos Angel on your own turn when going second is more challenging, unlike summoning it before your opponent establishes their board.

  • You don’t always need to use a Bystial. You have other options, depending on the monster you summoned from your hand. If you summoned Trudea or Meister, you can access Primus. If you summoned Gargoyle, you can summon Legatia. When coupled with Harmonia summoning itself, you have other options, like a Juraishin. All of these Synchros are very impactful as well.

  • You might not have an appropriate non-Tuner to Synchro with, so Emergency might not grant you disruption, but at the very least, it can count as an additional copy of Stardust and extension, and you can use the Quick Synchro effect later on in the Duel.

  • The Quick Synchro effect can come up, even if you did not activate the card itself. Emergency is a useful discard with Brotaur.

Miscellaneous

Lahamu the Messenger of Sacred Scripture
Jade Dragon Mech

Loading... :

I’m not sure this card will see play, but it has some interesting applications, since it can summon Fidraulis or your Bystials for free, if you have some redundant copies or they were negated, or you need the extension. With Fidraulis and Lahamu, you can summon Loading... , since Fidraulis is a level 7 Tuner.

It also fixes your hands in the End Phase, which is especially good in the grind game if you have garnets.

Loading... :

Generic Level 9 Synchro that dumps Stardust. It has potential, though the level is not easy to access. Elfnotes can make it Special Summon Stardust instead of dumping it, thanks to the level modulation.
